This is a team that consists of the players belonging to Bayer, but are loaned to another club.

Starke (Hamburg) - Zepek (Karlsruhe), Hertzsch (Frankfurt), Pogatetz (Graz) - Berberovic (Osnabrück), Preuß (Frankfurt), Simak (Hannover), Burkhardt (Fürth) - Donovan (San Jose), Brdaric (Hannover), Daun (Bremen)

Bench: Spizak (Duisburg), Cha (Frankfurt), Marquinhos (Sao Paulo)

Five forwards on loan, five on the present roster (Berbatov, Franca, Neuville, Sahin, Jones) and it is expected that Bayer signs Bremen's Ivan Klasnic...

who do you think will return in 2004/2005

Starke, is no.2 in Hamburg and no.3 when Pieckenhagen returns. Might be loaned to another club though.

Hertzsch and Preuß will return and probably stay.

Berberovic will belong to the pro team next season.

Brdaric might be purchased by Hannover.

Daun will be loaned somewhere else.

Donovan will be an often discussed topic next winter.

Not sure about the contractual situation with Zepek, Pogatetz, Burkhardt, Spizak and Marquinhos (are all loan candidates even if they return). Simak is a big ???. Cha is loaned until 2005.

Through wicked ways this one found my mailbox. Check out the bottom line! :-)

Bayer claims Donovan returns next January

Bayer Leverkusen has claimed they will recall San Jose Earthquakes forward Landon Donovan when his current loan agreement ends on January 1, 2005.

Nice work. We aren't supposed to post complete articles without permission, so I'll have to do some editing, but great stuff Olaf and Buff.
