i gotta agree - i LOVE rage and i dig soundgarden, but let's not break up a band to reunite a band... ya know?

The Stone Roses - original line up would be nice, but they no longer talk.

The Smiths - Mozza and Marr don't talk. Plus throw in the small matter of court action over royalties, will never happen.

Adam and the Ants - he's a bona fide loon now.

So, not happy with the NewRomantics coming back? Who's for DuranDuran? They are meant to have an album ready for release soon.

The Bands reunited show finds a way to smooth over stuff. They brought back Flock of Seagulls, and the brothers hadn't spoken in 20 years.
Berlin: They were a mess, same for Dramarama.

They couldn't get Squeese or Extreme (who cares)

New Romantics?

I thought DD was still together

Duran Duran never dissolved. However, the original line up got back together well over a year ago and have an album, which has been rumoured for release over the last year too. Check out their homepage duranduran.com

New Romantics: DuranDuran, HumanLeague, OMD, Culture Club, Spandau Ballet.

Wasn't there a thread here about the Pixies reunion?

Ah, a popular old thread topic resurfaces...

Talking Heads and The Smiths. I've said time and again here that I'd pay Fleetwood Mac / Eagles-style money to go see either live.

I'll second those!

I saw Paul Westerberg play last year. I liked it well enough, but he sounds best with a band behind him. If the Mats never got back together, I'd settle for Paul with a decent backup band. (The one time I saw the Mats was the best show I've ever attended.)

The Pixies are getting back together. Check the Pixies reunited thread. There are confirmed dates for a couple of shows already and a tour has been basically confirmed, although no dates or venues have been announced. Makes me so happy I could weep.

Top Tier (I'd pay absurd amounts of money to see them reunited)

the Smiths
the Verve

2nd tier (it'd be nice to hear them play together, but if they charge big money I wouldn't shell out)

Crowded House
Whiskeytown
Scud Mountain Boys

I only ask for two bands to return...

RATM
Who Cares? (yes it was a band, a kickass band too)

The Smiths, the Jam and the Stone Roses take themselves a bit more seriously than Flock Of Seagulls and Berlin. Plus, most members actually have current and successful musical careers. You just can compare that with the groups that have been reunited on that show.
