Didn't think Erik Meijer deserved a thread of his own, so I figured maybe creating a general thread for all former Reds citings/sightings was in order.

Bayern crash to 2nd division side
http://soccernet.espn.go.com/headlinenews?id=290416&cc=5901
BERLIN, Feb 4 (Reuters) - Second division Alemannia Aachen knocked holders Bayern Munich out of the German Cup quarter-finals with a spirited 2-1 win on Wednesday.
Dutch striker Erik Meijer hit the winner with a headed goal nine minutes from time after the home side had showed more initiative throughout. Erik Meijer "Giant Slayer"!
He likes to score in the cup competitions apparently. Remember his brace against Hull City in the Worhtington Cup in 1999? His only two goals for the Reds!
He has helped Alemannia into a promotion spot in the 2. Bundesliga, starting and going 90 min. in 17 of 18 matches, scoring 4 goals with 6 assists.

Guinea joy, Liverpool regrets for Titi
http://soccernet.espn.go.com/headlinenews?id=290227&cc=5901 LA MARSA, Tunisia, Feb 2 (Reuters) - Striker Aboubacar 'Titi' Camara says Guinea's place in the African Nations Cup quarter-finals will be one of the highlights of a career that is still tinged with regret at leaving Liverpool.
Camara's third goal in as many games earned Guinea a 1-1 draw with hosts Tunisia in Group A on Sunday and their first qualification for the second round for 28 years.

Camara did not fare so well though in a bitter-sweet Anfield career, joining in 1999 and leaving in December 2000 for West Ham United after falling out with manager Gerard Houllier and handing in a transfer request.
The former Olympique Marseille, Lens and St Etienne forward said: 'At Liverpool, I was lucky enough to be playing for a great club, but unfortunately things didn't go well with Gerard Houllier.
'I would have liked to have continued my career there, but that's football, that's destiny.
'The memories I have from Anfield will stay with me right until my final days,' said the 31-year-old.

.
.
Camara, who played World Cup and Nations Cup qualifiers for Guinea in April, June, July and October 2000, said relations had soured with Houllier over his international commitments.
'It's not that I lacked ambition,' Camara said. 'The first season went very well, but after that Gerard Houllier wanted to stop me playing for Guinea.
'He wasn't happy when I left and when I got back, he decided to sideline me. It was sad for the fans, because I'd given quite a lot to Liverpool and I'd also learned a lot from Liverpool in return.

Oh, I want to play too.
What about the Norwegian Invasion that struck Anfield about mid/late 90s?

Torben Piechnik, arguably the worst player ever to don the Red, is now a part-time Estate Agent in Aarhus in Denmark.
I want to know what happened to Nicky Tanner.

Could it be that he is now manager of Hellenic League team Almondsbury Town?
http://mangos.freehosting.net/WHERENOW.htm
Did he end up playing for Magnotsfield?
Matt Clark

Could be !!
The current manager of that mightly club is listed as a John Black. But then, Almondsbury are listed as having finished 17th our of 20 in last season's Hellenic Premier League, so Tanner was clearly moved on.

Stig Inge Bjornebye (the real one): Retired last year
Oyvind Leonhardsen: Aston Villa. Probably injured
Bjorn Tore Kvarme: Somewhere in Portugal, Sporting Lisbon, I think. The same club Babb went to.

Bjorn Tore Kvarme is a starting defender at La Liga Champions League participants Real Sociedad. (http://www.real-sociedad-sad.es/caste/home/real.asp?menu=010101&jugador=9621&fnd=KVARME)
And Leonahrdsen was released by Villa last season.

I believe Harkness went to Sporting Lisbon after Liverpool. Last I checked, he played for Sheffield Wednesday, but that was on Championship Manager.
Which former Liverpool players are managing?
I know of....
Jan Moldby - Kidderminster Harriers
Steve Nicol - New England Revolution
Steve McMahon - Blackpool
Also, Sean Dundee could still very well be playing for Stuttgart.

His former coach at Stuttgart is now at FK Austria, and signed him last summer after four years with VfB Stuttgart. He's only made 9 appearances this season for 1st place FK Austria, and has no goals.

Sean Dundee and no goals are basically the same aren't they?
Phil Babb was a Red when I first started watching football in early 1998. Even then I could tell the guy was absolute crap.

Well, the sleeves making his arms look puffy doesn't help either, I suppose. But his thighs are just massive.
