Thats right, you can not deny that fact. I watch everything possible on FSW, meaning EPL, Eredivisie, Bundesliga, French League, Serie A, La Liga, Brazilian League, Argentina's League, and he is the one player who stands head and shoulders above all other strikers. His skill, vision, and the ability to put the ball in the net is just unprecedented. And his goals....WOW! I hate Arsenal with a passion, I hate to watch them win over and over again, but Henry is just amazing. How can a player be so overly consistant in what he does? Its just unbelievable what this guy does with the ball.

Very nice and well thought out opinion.
I have a different one, obviously.

Yeah I agree with you, Henry is only the best when Alan Smith is having an off day....

I think the original post is sarcastic, but I will go with the assumption that it isn't
Ronaldo is a better striker than Henry. Henry is fast; Ronaldo faster. Henry quick; Ronaldo quicker. Ronaldo has much better moves, is much stronger, doesn't get disposessed as easily as Henry, can shoot as well with the right and better with the left as Henry, is about the same in the air, can pass about as well (he just doesn't need to as much cuz he has Zidane, Beckham, Figo, Raul, etc.; if you don't think he passes well watch the Zidane move video from last week and watch the pass. perfect.) He has won 2 World Player of the Year, 2 World Cups, and was the high scorer in the last one. How is Henry better?

I think it would be pointless to argue over who is better...it really can't be proven. But I think Henry is more important to his team, simply because he is as good at creating goals for other players as he is at scoring them himself (and that's saying ALOT). Granted, Ronaldo doesn't really need to, considering who he's surrounded by, but it's hard to deny that Henry is one of the most complete footballer's on the planet right now.

If Ronaldo's better then why is there so much speculation that Real want Henry
Ruud is a better Classic striker ala Shearer
but
Henry is the best of the new strikers that do more than score ala Del Piero

Those two have been amazingly consistent at quite a few different stages, levels, and teams. The performance problems that RVN had for his NT and those of Henry at Juve would make me question a bit if they could turn it on for a team like let's say Milan, where they'd have to compete with the likes of Shevchenko, Kaka, JDT, and Inzaghi, and where they'd also be benched in no time if they didn't produce quickly.
Though I might likewise question the team commitment of guys like Vieri or Ronaldo, I certainly wouldn't doubt whether they'd get the goals. With RVN and Henry, I couldn't be so sure. They're both immensely talented players that I love watching in the EPL but there's still a bit of doubt in my mind just like there was for Andy Cole even when he was scoring plenty of goals for Man U.

Robbie Keane, Kluivert, Henry, Del Piero, etc... the thing is, Henry scores SO many goals, that people think of him more as a striker than forward (since goals get more attention)... the forward role goes way, way back and was what the #10 shirt was traditionally based on (correct me if I'm wrong). also, although I've only seen a few clips of them, of Puskas & Di Stefano, wasn't one a forward and one a pure goalscorer?

the end of the day, van nistleroy scores the vast majority of his goals from close range efforts that are set up for him (and fair play), but henry has the ability to create goals and not only for himself. The fact that he scores as many as van nistleroy makes him the better striker as he creates more too.

one statistic that i thought was funny about last season.....
League goals score from outside the box....
van Nistelrooy = 0

Shooting yourself in the foot mate - if Ronaldo doesn't need to does as much cos of who his team mates are then surely that speaks volumes for Henry who doesn't have the quality of Beckham, Figo, Zidane, Raul around him but still manages to do the business all the time.
Ronaldo certainly is not quicker than Henry. This time last season i'd have chosen RVN ahead of Henry but now i'm not so sure, i think i'd edge towards Henry. He's so graceful when he plays and makes things look so easy.
At the moment i think Henry is better than Ronaldo. Henry isn't that great in the air but Ronaldo being so high profile is one of the worst headers of a ball around. Henry means a lot more to Arsenal than Ronaldo does to Real.

no but it kind of proves that he needs goals provided for him.

Henry's free kick ability and finishing outside the 18
(see goal against man city) puts him well ahead of Ruud, as far as being a complete, and in turn, better striker.
And why is it on these boards, Raul rarely gets a mention, unless it is to say he makes Ronaldo's life easier?

Arsenal doesn't have the talent of Real, true, but how does that impact how good Ronaldo is. He does score more goals that Henry, and just because Real have better players than Arsenal, doesn't mean Ronaldo isn't the best striker in the world. It just means Real also have the best midfielder in the world (Zizou) best forward in the world (Raul), etc.
And for the joker who is wondering why Real and Henry's name are linked up if Ronaldo is so good, remember which one of them is wearing the white shirt and scoring the goals, and which is in London waiting by the phone.
