WHERE?

http://www.worldstadiums.com/stadium_pictures/middle_america/trinidad_tobago/port_spain_crawford1.jpg
The Hasely Crawford Stadium, located in Port of Spain (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Port_of_Spain), Trinidad and Tobago (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trinidad_and_Tobago), is named for Hasely Crawford (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hasely_Crawford), the first person from Trinidad and Tobago to win an Olympic (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Olympic_Games) gold medal. Originally built as the National Stadium in 1980, the stadium was re-named to honour Crawford in 2001. The stadium holds 27,000 people. It hosted the final of the 2001 FIFA U-17 World Championship (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FIFA_U-17_World_Championship_2001). (wikipedia)

When?
3/28/09
Time: TBD

Against each other

Honduras wins: 6
Draws: 5
Trinidad and Tobago wins: 2

Despite Honduras' better record, Trinidad gave Honduras one of the toughest defeats in Honduran history, in 2001, they defeated Honduras 0-1 in San Pedro Sula, when Honduras needed to win to get into the World Cup and not have the need to beat Mexico at Azteca to qualify. (Personally one of the toughest days to be a Catracho.)

Lets the banter begin!!!

Don't forget about the 1 all tie in 1989 that also prevented Honduras from advancing. Another sad day to be a catracho. And hopefully 03/28/09 will also be a sad day to be a catracho :D

By the way, what does catracho mean?

Catracho according to wikipedia
Central Americans refer to a person from Honduras as a Catracho. The term was coined by Nicaraguans (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nicaraguans) in the mid 1800s when Honduran General Florencio Xatruch (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Florencio_Xatruch) returned from battle with his soldiers after defeating American (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/USA) freebooters commanded by William Walker (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/William_Walker_%28soldier%29), whose purpose was to re-establish slavery and take over all of Central America (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Central_America). As the general and his soldiers returned, some Nicaraguans yelled out ¡Vienen los xatruches!, meaning "Here come Xatruch's boys!" However, Nicaraguans had so much trouble pronouncing the general's last name that they altered the phrase to los catruches and ultimately settled on los catrachos.

This is a huge match for both teams if either wants to show they have intentions on the top 3 spots in the group...

This is a must win game for both teams and in only the second round of matches too. Having said that I wasn't too impressed with Honduras' showing in the first round (then again I wasn't impressed with our defense) but I think we need to win this home game so we'll do what we have to to make it happen. 3 pts for T&T!

T&T has to win this game, if they want to be contenders.

A tie or a win on the road for Honduras would be very nice, but even a loss it's no huge deal since they still have all their home games.

T&T needs this points more than Honduras. I think it will end in a draw

Generally, I agree with you that losing away from home is not a death kiss for a team.

The problem is Honduras play Mexico at home after this game. Though they beat Mexico at home in last round it is certainly not a sure thing. After Mexico they play USA in Chicago, which is arguably the toughest away match.

Basically, T&T (away), Mex (home), USA (away) is not an easy stretch. I think there is considerable pressure on Honduras to get at least a point out of the T&T match.

If Honduras come out of the first four matches with only 1-3 points, they are in trouble despite having lots of homes games left. I think Honduras need at least 4 points out of the first four matches.

Dam man, took the words right out of my mouth I would rep u if I could.... Honduras turns this fairly winnable game into a nail biting 80th minute 1 goal victory............... I would expect no less from the assholes in our sele lol

I think that the road games in Mexico and the US are the two hardest matches in this hexagonal. Mexico already got theirs out of the way and Costa Rica will have theirs in five weeks.

I agree Palacios will come in handy. Costly hasn't been match fit so he hasn't played much lately so he is a question mark. I think Honduras has more quality and is deeper than T&T.

Though, I'm not so sure Honduras will be able to contain Kenwyne Jones and Carlos Edwards. Jones is probably the most in form striker in CONCACAF, (I think Suazo is better but he has not been playing well for a few months now). Having watched Jones play for Sunderland, I think he is a great player.

Muma got a yellow card against Costa Rica. Anyone know if he is still eligible for the T&T game? Because I think Muma vs Kenwyne would be a great match up!

Great, hope your team's counting the points too before actually playing the game.
I actually think Jason Scotland is in better form than Kenwyne. Hope to see both of them line up top for us. Again our weakness would be the defence and our goalkeeper ince is suspended. This could potentaially be a high scoring games. Both teams have good attacking options.

I believe Honduras are missing Sergio Mendoza from FIFA a ban but we got Bonieck Garcia there just as good .
