I've got this awful feeling in my stomach. It could be mistaken for anger. I think to rectify the problem I will go to the local mall. I'm going to hunt out the first person with any Manc replica wear on. I am going to scissor tackle him, and stamp him with two feet.
But yea, on a more serious note, that is some BS. Their sweet little time in the sunshine is almost over. The class of '92 is almost done, and Dutchess Fergie keeps signing soft Brasilians and Portugese players. The 4-5-1, with everyone on Ruud's shoulders isn't going to win any cups. Anyways, off to the mall... but first I need to change out my boots to longer metal studs.

Good idea i usually just use Manchester replica gear for an ashtray when see one in public. Its acually kind of interesting the way the shirt responds to acute heat in the form of a ember or cherry. I also usually try to take a pic with my cam phone of the lucky individual and note the location. I am doing this with a Man City friend of mine and hope to have our web page up this week. basically just a map with pics and points where we greeted Man U fans.

64. And finally, the sound of the 'Campioni Liverpool' chant, long before it was adopted by a certain team not a million miles from Merseyside and changed to Championi!
That's it. Not everyone will agree with our selections and there's probably countless more that we could have included but we'd have been here all day.
What do you think?"
My personal fave in no 47.

I emailed this to my Dad.
He said one of his favourite moments was waiting at Lime Street for the train of Liverpool fans to come back from Rome in 1984.
My brother and I were on the train.
He reckons he could hear us singing "Campioni" all the way in from Runcorn.
As the train approached, he reckoned he'd never seen anything like it as Reds flags waved outside both sides of the train as it came in through the tunnels and headed towards the platforms.
He said the whole station just stopped in awe of fans who had been travelling since Wednesday night (right after the match the Rome ploice escorted us straight to their train station and sent us on our way) and it was now Friday morning. And we singing louder than ever.
Being on the train myself, the scene was nothing like I have ever experienced before. It was like we were carrying the cup back and there were hordes of people to meet us all, including the media.
The noise was deafening as it echoed around the cavernous ceilings of Lime Street and every fan must have had at least two flags as you could barely see in front of you for the mass of color and flags waving.
Despite Liverpool's dominance in the 70s and 80s, not many people thought we could go into Rome's own ground and beat them there (albeit on pen's).
Brucies wobbly legs, Nicol's missed pen, Barney Rubble's winning penalty, petrol boms thrown at us by the Ities, quite a night.
Of course my brother tells me 1977 was even better, bastard!!! ;)

I'm no Liverpool fan, but I have trouble understanding how the Alaves 5-4 final failed to make the list. One of the most riveting games I have ever watched.

21. Steam rising from the Kop on the night Celtic came to Anfield for the European Cup Winners Cup semi-final, second leg April 1966.
I remember the steam condensating and coming back down as 'black' rain with the soot from under the roof. I had to take my shirt and Jacket to the cleaners.
43. Bill Shankly kicking infamous referee Ortiz de Mendibil as he came off the pitch after awarding Internazionale three 'dodgy' goals in the European Cup semi-final second leg at the San Siro May 1965.
There were stories after this about how Mendibil went on an all expense paid holiday on the Riviera!
Nursing his bruised arse, I hope.

Well, having just bought a copy and read the extra that came with it covering the 50 moments, I have to say I was decidedly un-bothered by it all. 442 is a decent enough mag as things go and most of the 50 are interesting little football vignettes.
Of course the naff obsession with all things Mancunian that pervades the entire British sporting media is a bit tiresome but I prefer to enjoy the desperation of those hacks that wax lyrical about entirely unremarkable things just so they can get United into the picture. It's there to be laughed at, at the end of the day. Especially because it is a source of more or less constant embarrassment to real Mancs and their own cherished (but mnore or less totally ignored) perspective on the club everyone and his dog thinks they have a piece of.
My fave in this 50 is the standing ovation Ronaldo was given by some sections of the Old Trafford crowd last May. It speaks absolute volumes that this is considered even worthy of comment, let alone inclusion in a "Top 50 European moments" list. Let's all share a private chuckle that something so utterly normal at Anfield left commentators nigh-on dumbstruck when witnessed at the Skip. As is more or less always the case, the fawning attention paid to United by the media does little more than illustrate just what a vapid construct the "biggest club in the world" has become in their hands.
I'll trade a few mentions in a footie mag's giveaway special for the real - the actual - credibility, humility and value retained by our club and everyone lucky enough to be a part of it any day of the week.
And just by the by, there is an interesting article on our young French gems in there too. Plus, for those salivating Sam's Army types, a long article on Freddy Adu.
