Ibrahimovic is 10 times the bottler than 2003-2006 Ronaldo was (for my money Ibra is the biggest bottler out of any of the big sides off my head). Adriano has the odd moment but has destroyed his career for what his potential was, and Vidic will shit all over him. Inter are not going to control much/any of the game at OT, and will have to hope for a moment of brilliance to get them through. Were it not for our horrible finishing and a few wonder saves today we would have been 3 up and cruising by half time...
Liverpool supporters are all too fond of Ibra and his "flopping" against the big sides. In both CL matches last season against us, he couldnt have been any worse. A lot of the Inter players seem to struggle against quality opposition that close them down quickly.
Zanetti, Chivu, Julio Cesar, Cambiasso and Maicon will all need to carry the load that their teammates put on them in the next leg at OT.

Just to make an observation , as depressing as it is to see the mancs manage to cobble together a patchwork of too old and too young glued together with 75 million dollar players, and watching ferguson rotate becouse he had no choice and effingly to his own suprise it works by giving the old and the new the chances and breathers they need.....
As infuriating and depressing as that is, it has been wonderfull to watch flying pigs and bald scold play like invisible crap for the most part becouse they are too old now.
However, the highlight of the season for me so far has been watching fairy neville rotting on the bench watching rafeal (who looks about 15) play his position. You can see the realization on his face....hes done, he aint coming back, the glory days are over and the kid is the future. Testemonial, gold watch, get the fck out.
you can see that this is causing him great anguish and pain and im not sure if this makes me a bad person or not, but i love it. Run around screaming and kissing your badge over that one turnip face. HA. HaHa.
Anybody else you would feel a sense of pathos. Neville .....i cant wait for the camera to pan the bench.
Rudolphs so pleased with the 8 starts and 12 subs his vet-pets can give him hes gonna sign em all up again for another fling next year. Hmm.

I thought the Barca-Lyon match was pretty entertaining.
That Juninho free kick was absolutely brilliant! I cannot believe what I just saw!
I just finished watching both games on DVR.

I think that "brilliant" goal had a lot to do with some rather shit goal keeping by Valdes

The movement on the ball was sublime though. There is no denying that.
Valdes is a bad keeper.
Also, Thierry Henry almost brained himself on the post when he headed in the equalizer.

I think that "brilliant" goal had a lot to do with some rather shit goal keeping by ValdesTue, but even if Valdes were properly positioned (HA!) for the free kick, he could almost certainly not have saved that given were he should have been. A slightly better chance, yes, but it would still be a big ask. On first viewing I put it completely down to a Valdes blunder but if you watch it again, it's about a half-inch from clipping the crossbar on the way in.As infuriating and depressing as that is, it has been wonderfull to watch flying pigs and bald scold play like invisible crap for the most part becouse they are too old now.Wow. Wowowow. Scholes has definitely been lacking this season compared to his usual standards, and Neville is indoubtedly past it. But Giggs? He's been our best player barring Vidic and arguably Van der Sar. Honestly. I think you must've been missing his play these last 3-4 months (he did get off to a slow start, if I am honest).
I could say someting about somebody I have viewed as Neville's counterpart since the mid-90s, Robbie Fowler, but given where I am I might just leave it. ;)

Hey, leave God alone- he's going to tear it up in the A-League this year! :D
(Except against Sydney FC that is! ;) )

Almost my thoughts exactly.
It was just a perfectly hit ball.
I am amazed by the technical skill of the shot as well as Juninho being audacious enough to attempt such a shot. He hit it perfectly.
Early contender for goal of the round.

WTB Jun and Silva next year. Maybe we'll be more dangerous from free-kicks, and I bet he can place a mean corner.

I do think Ferguson flubbed a few things today though. Berbatov should not have started, and one of Rooney/Tevez hsould have started even if Andy Garcia was going to have to play the full 90. Giggs & Berbatov should both have been subbed off with at 20 minutes left, and Park maybe earlier too.I was wondering about this and what the hell SARN was up to. I don't know or really care what the media thought...but had that been Rafa....:)
Rooney changed the look of the game when he did come on but what can he do in 43 seconds. Other than pick up a yellow. Bogus yellow to me!
Giggs did look the man out there but made a couple of bad choices in front of goal. "Damn, let me try that again" (with a welsh accent!)
Puts Manure in the drivers seat for the return, baring the dreaded away goal.
Oh, and were they playing to some new "you have to play this at walking pace" rule yesterday?

I was also very surprised not to see Rooney start...Park is almost like a Kuyt, except the latter scores moire goals - the kid is running like a madman.
Inter's tactics were very cowardly...their fullbacks went forward a few times but Cambiasso was absolutely invisible - looked like they were petrified from a ManUre counterattack.
The game looked over in the 1st half as Inter's midfield couldn't touch the ball.
It seems like many here disagree, but I thought Ibra was one of Inter's better players as he actually tried to do something concrete and attack his defender and the goal. MOTM - Inters keeper.
Arsenal should have had a 2nd - they could come to regret it...it was also interesting to see why we got rid of Riise as he was overrun on the left, and why we had him as his thunderous shot nearly missed...
Barca wins by 3 in the return leg - sure, Lyon surprised them in the 1st half (what a goal by Juninho:eek:) but things went back to normal in the 2nd with the always important away goal.

I think Rooney & tevez we're rested because they'll more than likely feature this sunday at the CC Final. My guess is SAF is really going for that Quadruple and Immortality.

Inter was playing with 10 Men:eek: Maybe even 9.
Nelson Rivas was horrendous, so was muntari, most of there players barely put in any real effort. Atleast not on Uniteds level if you ask me.
You could tell that No one on Inter wanted to even pass to Rivas, it was comical really.
The only players up to par we're "Pupi" Zanetti, Chivu, Ibra (allthough its questionable)
Either way, even if Inter score one at Old Trafford, i'd still put money on united to score two and overcome Inter.
Arsenal should've scored more, but overall, 1-0 is Great. No away goals, and again, with our European Form i think its highly likely we can grab a Goal At roma, meaning they'll need 3 goals to advance.
We can't be all gloom & doom over this, we won.
Lyon-Barca will be interesting. I hope for Football that Lyon don't go to catalunya and Stroll around for 90minutes.
I really want to see them perform like they did at home, and really take it to them. I for one think Barcelona are beatable, and that lyon have every chance of advancing.
