Nelson ratings

I was reading the Newsday and they said that according to Nielson data the viewership for SB was up by 4 million people. How the F they come up with that because I didn,t have my TVs on and how come MLSC ratings were like 500 people watched it on ABC.
This Nielson thing is flawed.

This Nelson thing is flawed.

1. It's Nielson. And it was up 1 million, not 4 million.

b. Just because your TV wasn't on doesn't mean the rating couldn't go up. Maybe it went up because, you know, more people watched it.

iii. Good to know that you know more about statistical analysis than statisticians.
