If the teams behind us keep on dropping points, we will keep on leading.
I know I should not be relying on other team results, but seriously, the rest of the Bundesliga is gifting us the lead right now.
We're simply the most efficient team and the best defending team. We don't take many shots (as evidenced by today), but we convert the ones we do have. And no one has penetrated Friedrich and Simunic lately. If Drobny gets over his mistake today, it can be nearly inpenetrable.
We get results. Simple as really. We don't even pretend to play beautiful all the time, like Bayern or Werder or Hoffy. We're just effective. Like Kicker says.
hehehehehehehehehehe:D:p

Next opponents for Hertha:
Leverkusen, Stuttgart, Dortmund, Hamburg, Bremen and Hoffenheim (and Hannover in Hannover, they're much stronger at home).
If they're still leading the Bundesliga after this matches maybe I will cheer for them.
Ehm, no I won't, I just do not want to see them in CL or EL destroying our coefficient, so I hope they lose all their next games.
Interesting line-up there for Hertha, we will see now how worth it they really are after those games.

Fantastic season so far. They look very dominant this season. Seasons ago they would never have won in Cottbus. Games like Cottbus are tougher one's to win than other against Bayern or Hamburg.
There are still people and 'experts' out there who underrate them. I could see them ending up first, but I also would have an eye on Stuttgart and Wolfsburg. But more Stuttgart.
What I am interested in if there are any Hertha- player outshining in the team ? Talents or prospect ?

I agree with the rest of the post, but this part is a big no.
Hertha have been super lucky this year.
Today was no different.
Jula had an absolute sitter from 8 yds out and missed the net somehow. Minutes later, Ebert's cross is converted by Voronin
Then, Radeljic hits the bar from a corner. Minutes later, Friedrich's pass is deflected straight to Raffael, who shanks his shot, but right to Voronin for a tap-in.
We're efficient and we're lucky. That is a hard combination to beat.
Ebert is playing really well though. He's only played 12 games I think, but already has a goal and an assist. Low should consider him maybe.

Can Hertha win? Sure, but in my eyes that's very, very, very, very, very, very unlikely.
You guys should check out their schedule for the rest of the season, it is incredibly tough. Probably the toughest of all the top 6-7 teams. Personally, even though they are currently leading by 4 points, I don't even think they'll make a European spot. That may sound extreme, it's my prediction though.
Then again, if you guys keep winning, i'll be proven wrong.
EDIT: Just realized you guys HAVE all checked out Hertha's schedule. Oops.

That is is also very Bayern like !
Who (transfer) came new to Hertha this season ? Favre seems to do be the right man for system and tactics.
I was able to see Berlin against Hoffenhein and Pantelic, when he touched the ball, looked like he is the best from the team and he was also dangerous. But when he left the pitch the team 'inhaled' and Voronin scored. There do is a lot of quality in the team and this is amazing how Favre handled a difficult guy like Marko.

We had a lot of changes. But most of them haven't really panned out. Cicero was a great acquisition though, reminds me a lot of Tim Cahill he's a great header of the ball and attacks the box with purpose.
But Chermiti has been injured for a long time and he hasn't acclamated yet to the team. Kaka has been a disaster whenever he has played. Rodnei has only started playing now, I never understood why we got him, and I am equally perplexed at why he's at LB now when its obvious he's a CB. He hasn't played badly though. Cufre and Babic haven't impressed in the little time they've been here either. Stein and Nicu have had their moments, but Stein really makes me nervous.
Really only Voronin, Nicu and Cicero have made any real impression. The biggest difference other than those 2 has been the resurgence of Ebert, Simunic and especially Drobny and good tactics from Lucien Favre.

Congrats on the first win in Cottbus since a long time! Our teams supported each other pretty well yesterday...;)
You're surely very lucky this season (I've just seen that incredible scene with the Cottbus striker Jula) ... nevertheless, I think that Lucien Favre is doing a great job! Kudos. Who knows, maybe you can really make a surprise à la Stuttgart in the end...

Thats what everyone thought about Stuttgart 2 years ago when they won it on the last day, as we all know anything can happen in this league. I ain't crossing my fingers that we are gonna win the league this year but a European spot is most likely in the making.

Hello there...just got some news that might be of interest to you.
---
---
Looks like some emisaries from Hertha are in Chile, they watched Lucas Barrios performance in the 3-0 Colo-Colo victory over reigning Copa Libertadores champions LDU.
Lucas also had a great performance in Brazil against Palmeiras...where he scored a goal and provided an assist to give a 3-1 victory to Colo-Colo in an important away match.

They are willing to pay US$10 million for him...which is a great offer.

A solid 1-0 victory over a sliding Leverkusen keeps us a top for yet another week. I was especially pleased with Nicu he played well and set up the goal and it's good to see Rodnei play well at LB he shut down Barnetta pretty good. A few questionable calls in otherwise a pretty decent game, good job boys :)

...lol...now the Chilean press is saying the Hertha boys are also having a look at Orellana! Two very different strikers. The Argentinian Lucas Barrios is tall has a lot of technique and is skillfull for his hight, He is a good man to have in the area.
The Chilean Orellana is smaller and is more of a winger...I'd say he is just as fast as Lucas, abviously he doesn't have the strength of Lucas but Orellana has better dribbling skills. He is also cheaper than Lucas.

Lucas might be around US$10 million
Orellana is around US$4 million

Can't see Hertha spending 10 million for player. Orellana looks interesting.
Solid game against Leverkusen. To be honest, anything else than a SIEG would have surprised me...
Next week against Stuttgart. Hertha does not need a victory at all. If this will end in a draw than chances are still good to end up first ! Amazing.

I don't know whats with all these striker rumours. If in fact we qualify for Europe I think we will be doing everything to sign Voronin full time
