On dfb.de it lists some of the players on the squad for the U-21's EC qualifiers on November 14th & 18th as being over 21. Is this correct or a clerical error? And if it isn't an error, what is up with that? I'm thinking maybe since I'm using the English version they just have not updated it, I'll check.

This has nothing to do with DFB. There is a key date each year that determines if a player is allowed to play U21 or not. If you're 21 at this date, then you can play U21 for the rest of the season also if you're turning 22 in the meantime.

Do you know where I can find that date? And is it the same for all levels of youth football?

Just my guess: AFAIR they changed the date from mid-season (01.07.) to the beginning of the year (01.01.). So I think that if your a 21 years old or younger at that date you can play for the U21 until the end of the year and maybe also to the end of the next season (if so you could be 23 by the end of your U21 spell?!?!?)

I've checked dfb.de (http://www.dfb.de/dfb-team/u21/team/e_right.php) and saw that Balitsch, Broich and Auer are still members of the U21 team (last update: 15.11.2003). If they are allowed to play on 17.02.2004 against Switzerland then it is that you can play till the end of next season (so that you can be in fact 23) if they don't play it is that you can play till the end of the year.
