so it's almost january 1, basically we're near the midpoint of the season - we've all had a chance to see what teams have going on and i was wondering who every one's early stanley cup pick is
if my BLUES can somehow be healthy for the playoffs they have a great shot

as always, i am limited to 8 choics so forgive the exclusion of dark horses such as los angeles, dallas, san jose, tampa bay & the islanders

Dude, St Louis is going nowhere.
While I picked Detroit mostly out of loyalty, my gut says it will be an all-Canadian final this year with Vancouver and Ottawa. The Red Wings seriously blew it when they let Federov get away otherwise they'd be odds-on favorites.

Well, at least he didn't say Columbus or Pittsburgh.

Vancouver; great hockey town along with best line in the NHL (Bertuzzi, Nausland, Morrison).

You may have noticed the Devils are losing (or tieing) to just about everyone this past month. The Islanders were lucky enough to play us while we were in the Christmas point giving mood.

As a die hard blackhawks fan (who are not going anywhere) I am going to say Ottawa. They gota sell out that building though. I had front row for that Philly game in the playoffs last year and i got those for face 4 days before the game.
Just wait till they catch fire...

I'll be perfectly honest here, I am voting for the Blues because I'm from St. Louis. No other reason, none needed.

This is my prediction for the Stanley Cup Finals.
Both teams have scores of scoring threats, and the Canucks are to physical to give up too many goals on a given night.
if either of these teams come into your local arena anytime soon get out to see them, they are fun to watch.

After the Blues stunk it up again last night I feel like I should change my vote. Oy we suck
