Hello Everyone,

I'm Chris, I'm 20 and I live in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Im a keeper and currently playing at the highest level available here and I wish to persue my soccer career further. I was wondering if anyone can help me with information on how to hook up with a club in England or anywhere in europe for that matter. Are there mens clubs that I can play for and work my way up too Div. 1,2, or premiership? How hard is it too find teams? How would I go about setting up a try out date? When typically are try outs? Stuff like that.

If anyone with information can help me out, it would be GREATLY appreciated.

Do you play in the AMSL (or something like that name)?

Have you ever played with an Alberta team at the nationals?

The trick is to get people to see you play. Or if you know someone who knows someone in Europe. It also really helps if you hold an English or EU passport.

Have you ever thought about trying out for the Aviators or the Storm to get some professional experience?

I think a keeper from where you live has signed for Portsmouth. You could ask him how he went about it.

Ottawa, Ontario – 16-year old Canadian goalkeeper Asmir Begovic is preparing for a soccer career with Portsmouth Football Club in England. The young goalkeeper who resides in Edmonton, Alberta will leave for England on Sunday evening to join the youth system of the English Premiere club.

No, I dont play in the AMSL...Yes I played for the Alberta team for one year and we won bronze but unfortunately I didnt get to touch the field cause the other goalie we had was unreal... But I was with the Alberta Provincial program for like 3yrs...Yah im tryin to talk to my relative over in England and see if they know anything or anyone over there to hook me up with... The Aviators and Storm teams you must be asked to try out for them, which sucks.
