Jon Otmesbor went to Bolton today on loan until the end of the season.
No details yet on whether he is eligible to play against us!

On a side note, he won't be able to play in the Carling Cup final for Bolton because he already played in the competition for Liverpool.

I think Ostemebor showed some great promise in the few chances he has gotten this season. But with Finnan and Carra back, and Riise still here, Ostemebor wasn't going to get many chances. The move should be good for him. Hoepfully he develops into a better player. I just hope the move doesn't become permanent because I want to see him back at Liverpool.

It appears he has been brought in as cover in any case, so he may not actually play at Bolton either.

"There is no clause in the loan arrangement to block Otsemobor playing against Liverpool, and he could well be involved at some stage against the Reds. "

I'll admit to being fairly ignorant about this guy. If I have seen him play, and I don't think I have, he clearly didn't do so outstanding that I noticed, so whatever. Do we have more faith in Riise than him??

He played in our league games against Bolton and Newcastle as well as our cup defeat against Bolton. He came in after Finnan got injured and Diao stunk like a week-old nappy as his replacement. He did well.
He has been a "name" youngster for ages. Back in 1998 the talk was that Evans was holding out on buying another Centre-back because the young lad Otsemobor was going to be coming through. He was only 15 at the time (so that was probably bullshit but it does illustrate how long he has been rated as a prospect). More recently though, a number of rumours from well-connected people have suggested that Houllier just doesn't fancy him and will move him out when the right offer comes in.
A shame, because he's definitely got potential and has done well when given the chance thus far.
