I'll be happy if we get a tie, Mexico is a great team, and in the Azteca they're almost invencible. If we continue playing like this i think we can return to CR with a positive result.

This game is going to be real tough...Mexico is going to have a lot of pressure...and probably attack like crazy...hopefully we can take advantage of that. We won't have as much pressure so i hope Kenton keeps on doing a great job and prepares our team well. For this match I think we will need players like Tuma, Ruiz, Ledezma, Rojas, and Segares to have a good chance at stealing at least a point :cool:

I think Mexico wins with Rafa Marquez suspension, he isn't interested in playing with his national team.
On the other side, CR really looses with Centeno's 2nd yellow.

Agreed, Rafa Marquez is nothing but troubles for Mexico, always with the stupid attitude earning red cards. Centeno is probably our most important player at the moment, he produces the most important offensive moves of our team, we are gonna miss him.
Mexico is missing some other important player like Salcido, Vela and Guardado, we have to take advantage of that somehow.

Magallon will be back to replace Marquez.
We need to find a replacement for Salcido, but considering we are playing at Azteca where we hardly get attacked we should be fine.
Arce and Torrado are back from suspensions.
Guardado should be back healthy

Ruiz and Martinez will back healthy too, this is gonna be a great battle, i think tha best thing that can happen to mexico is to lose, so they fire sven and hire Aguirre and get back on the winning road

Sorry guys.
As much as I respect the Costa Rica national team,I can't see you guys winning this. :D
We will have most of our injured and suspended players back and we will play a full squad.See you guys there.

Leandrinho afirma que federativo le llamó para que integre la tricolor Fútbol.
El delantero Leandro Barrios “Leandrinho” admitió este lunes que un miembro de la Federación Costarricense de Fútbol, le llamó para conocer su criterio en cuanto a una posible nacionalización costarricense para que integre la selección nacional.
“Me llamaron en Bélgica y me preguntaron si existía esa posibilidad y bueno sí existe, por qué no, sería una ilusión para mí una motivación también… La verdad es que no voy a revelar” declaró el atacante a Radio Columbia.
El jugador dice que ese fue uno de los motivos por los cuales se vino para Costa Rica.

How long does a player need to play in Costa Rica before he can become nationalized?

the last nationalized player i remember was alexandre guimaraes (celsos dad) and it was 20 years ago, so to be honest, i dont know
I think Leandrinho has a child here, but i cant confirm it

My bad, Victor Nuñez was born in dominican republic, but he came over to cR when he was 8 years old

Leandro Barrios “Leandrihno” fue presentado con la camiseta del Herediano en conferencia de Prensa, en la cual el jugador brasileño mostró su satisfacción por retornar al club florense, y oportunidad que espera aprovechar al máximo consiguiendo su primer título como jugador y el 22 para el club.
“Me siento muy contento de estar nuevo aquí porque tengo un aprecio muy especial por el equipo Herediano. Espero poder hacer muchos goles y campeonizar”, dijo Leandro de 22 años de edad, quien aseguró que no está al 100% físicamente pues en Bélgica no tuvo oportunidad de jugar con regularidad.
Leandrinho se reencontró con su hija Melanie de 9 meses de edad, aspecto que asegura que “estoy muy motivado para mostrarme al máximo y superar los 14 goles que alcancé en la temporada 2006-2007 cuando estuve con este equipo en 35 partidos”, dijo.
Además, el hábil jugador aseguró que iniciará los trámites para nacionalizarse pues desea llegar a la Selección Nacional.
Leandrinho entrenó este lunes con el equipo y vistió la camiseta 27, misma que utilizó cuando militó con el Herediano anteriormente y mismo que lucirá en los juegos del club.

Leandrinho was a fine player when he played for Heredia a few years ago, and could've been in the CRMNT, but right now, I really don't know what is his real level. I think we could have 1 or 2 nationalized players, Mexico has a bunch of them and the USA has like 14 nationalized players all the time.
But first, we have to see him play. We really need better strickers for the "Sele". Saborio and Furtado are not so good for me, Bryan Ruiz lacks strengh.
I remember when we had, Medford, Fonseca, Gomez and Chope, those were real class forwards.

Lets leave our SELE to TICOS ONLY! I can't see myself celebrating Leandrinho scoring a goal for us...i rather play a crappy forward like Evance Benwell or Ever Alfaro over any foreigner:)
