well let's review:

Spurs give us £7 million and we get Zamora who they paid £2 million for. he may not be worth that - but he has scored in the Nationwide and can probably do a job for us, plus he's a Hammer.



I think the money is about right, and if BZ delivers, we'll forget about the kid who got 3 red cards this season.

Being a Tottenham fan I am not really in favor of this move. I don't mind it and think Defoe will do pretty well in the 2nd half sub role and maybe spell Postiga once and a while but not at that price. Saying that he can score goals at any level from what I have seen and as long as he keeps his emotions in check and doesn't get any red cards I think he could help Spurs. I would have rather saved the money or spent it in other places but I don't get to make those choices so hope this deal works out for both sides.

White Hart Lane was reeling last night after the shock news that Jermain
Defoe slapped in a transfer request minutes after Spurs amazing exit from
the FA Cup. David Pleat has issued a statement saying "this is unhelpful at
this stage, and we think Jermain has been badly advised by his agent."
