He has lined up Cheyo as a forward on several occasions, this time it was a 3-6-1 formation but either way it leaves Cheyo way upfront where instead he should be alot closer to the midfield where he can create more plays... but to tell you the truth Osael stepped up bigtime and took care of dirty work on the midfield...

As for Coreas he had a great game IMO.. he works better off as a substitute rather than a starter... hopefully he stays consistent with his game play...


To tell you the truth I thought the team played well today and the formation worked. There were definitely plenty of opportunities created with this formation, even with Cheyo more up front, but the concern is we have no true forward. Rudis cannot do anything by himself up front, we saw that in the UNCAF. So who else can DLC play upfront to support Rudis besides Cheyo? It would be nice to see Zelaya up front with Alvarez and Cheyo in his true position creating some plays.

I totally agree with you about Coreas, he is not a starter. Looks like he might be starting more though depending on what happens with Martin.

2. We are missing Anaya, Salazar, Reyes and Alvarez is still out there waiting for fifa.
3. DCL knows that we need more than a striker to go for the win
4. Romero is another rising star
5. Zelaya is looking good
6. Castillo is going up the ladder too

LOL..youre talking about who's wack when ES were down 0-2 staring defeat in the face for 75 mins of a 90 min game?:confused: I wouldnt talk if i were u. Jones had a header cleared off the line by a defender with the GK completely beaten. John missed a penalty that wouldve finished off ES for good. It didnt happen and you scored from 2 freekicks. savour it because lightning aint gone strike twice in the hex. You'll learn the hard way. What this about TNT getting raped? TNT will take pts off of Mex/Honduras/Costa Rica/ES at home. Away they'll take pts off of honduras/CR and well we jus did against you.:)

If any team will get battered in '09 its gone be ES. You concede multiple goals every game you play and that is a disaster waiting to happen. Oh btw..KJ had an off nite today but he's still better than your entire team on crutches. Rest in Peace El Salvador.;)

If that Escudo was not that there, the uniform would be so much better! The uniform looked badazz last night, but the escudo annoys me!

PS. IF Shawn has a fractured tibia i expect him to be ready by March 29. It's more than a month away. He should be fine. HOPEFULLY.

That white jersey doesnt look good with the emblem in the middle. I love the blue jerseys but the white ones dont look as good. But I still like ours better then the Catrachos.


On Shawn, I think he played up to his talent. Isnt he our tallest player? We need him. Thankfully its only a fracture and not broken. And imagine what the team could be like if we had AA on here. I can only pray we get some bit of luck concerning him and Shawn getting back in time.

Warlord it makes no sense going back and forth with these guys. All you're going to here is "Warner did this, the refs did that". Bottom line is They lost points at home.TnT did what they were suppose to do in picking up a point on the road period.

Depues Del Partido de ayer. Tego que darle mis respetos ala rastra Escobar. Ayer jugo el mejor partido de su vida creo. Me atreveria a decir que a ese nivel facilmente puede jugar en una mejor liga. Y pensar que es banca, porque ese puesto es de Salazar.

C.Castillo is amazing he has a heart bigger then life. He ran like a machine yesterday.

Todo el equipo jugo muy bien. Quintanilla mostro que tiene talento. Me alegra ver que Osael esta demostrando su talento. Porque el el lado derecho tenemos que mejorar.

Lo positivo es que demostramos que tenemos garra para levantarnos en situsiones adversas.

To me the best players were: La Rastra, Gonzalez, Pacheco, Castillo, Zelaya, Osael Romero and Quintanilla; he had two good shots on goal, also Martin was playing well. Actually they all played good but the above have a bright future.


I agree with you on Rastra, he played well in los angeles as well. Zelaya queria quedarse con la plata, he is not a team player. Also Torres ALegria played well. Quintanilla didnt play that great.

I disagree with you in regards to Zelaya... throughout the whole second half T&T had the backside of the field crowded making it hard to create any plays and if passes were made they would of been complicated passes, so it was either hold on to the ball and wait for an opening or shoot to goal...

I think no one in here is blind enough to not notice what Zelaya meant to the team coming in the second half, he bacame a headache for the T&T defenders and caused those freekicks at the end which ended in goals.. IS OBVIOUS who the starting forward should be for next game..

Hey Guanaco did you go out and watched the game or you watched online... I was at the Hollywood park Casino for the first time, damn that place gets packed... Everybody was cheering after we tied like we had qualified to the WC yeah.. yeah.. it was sad... I was also cheering though ill admit it...

SHAWN MARTIN CON FRACTURA QUE LO MANTENDRA FUERA DE LA CANCHA POR 3 MESES :mad:

San Salvador, Jueves 12 de febrero de 2009. El jugador salvadoreño Shawn Marin, estará fuera de las canchas durante 3 meses tras un impacto directo contra contra un jugador trinitario, durante el juego entre El Salvador Vs. Trinidad & Tobago, realizado ayer en el Estadio Cuscatlán, durante la apertura de la IV Fase Eliminatoria para la Copa del Mundo Sud Africa 2010.

Según Francisco Amaya Cruz, médico de las Selecciones Nacionales, y quien acompañó anoche al jugador a un hospital capitalino, los estudios de rayos X determinaron que Shawn Martín sufrió una Fractura Diafisiaria de Tercio Medio de Tibia, por lo que fue necesario colocarle un “yeso con bota larga”, que mantendrá durante 5 semanas.

Al culminar este tiempo, será sometido nuevamente a una radiografía de control para analizar la consolidación del hueso e iniciar su terapia física.

Según el Dr. Amaya, se estima que todo este proceso dure aproximadamente 3 meses, por lo que Shawn Martin se perderá los juegos eliminatorios contra Estados Unidos y Costa Rica.
