It really has to be said. We do NOT have the talent of Brazil, Argentina or Holland. But Bradley has looked at EVERYONE imaginable, made the team younger, and made it more skillful. We can all point to things we disagree with, but..... we play as a team, we move as a team, we play for the team. THAT is what a coach can do, and what he has done. I believe Bradley will get as much out of this group as can be had.

agree, it's the mental side of the game and defending, that's where usa gets success...

his critics look at tactics etc, but isn't it deafening how quiet it is on that front today...

I also want to note how he deflects attention away from himself, and away from his son. He practices what he preaches. That is the different from the BRUCE. Bruce talked the team game, but he sure liked to make it all about himself.

With last night's performance, Bradley has raised himself to O-Brien-like territory with the MNT.

He probably could have subbed a couple guys quicker but I'm not going to flip out over it like some are...

I'd of thought the players made the team more skillful.

In my opinion, Bradley is doing a good job. He held serve against the U.S.'s biggest regional rival. He did something once that Bruce did twice.

Baby Bradley will not always play like he played last night. Pappy overrelies on two center backs who may not be good matchups against some teams. The U.S. has weak fullbacks. There will be games in which these things come back to bite the U.S. in the butt. At that point, people will come out of the woodwork to say what a crappy job he's doing; respectfully, they, like you, should not get carried away over one result.

Kid yourself if you like into thinking the game last night proved anything .... it didn't. Yes it's good to win but ....

1) We had a very low count of quality scoring chances .. too few
2) We were lucky Mexico didn't score 2 or 3 ... they had the chances
3) Our defense is very shaky. Frankie was the best of the bunch
4) Our midfield does not create chances for forwards and Donovan is proving he can score when he has better players around him
5) We played them 1 down for a long time and couldn't dominate
6) Our entire attack is based on flighting the ball into the goal area
7) Mexico hasn't beat us here since .....2001 ? Way before BB

Yes we beat Mexico and should exit this group with no losses or 1 (Mexico away) at the worst. However, who can we beat after that? BB tactics don't work against teams like the ones that kicked our butts when we did the Euro tour (England, Spain ...) They do work against Mexico and the other minnows. BB cannot take us to the next level unless he's willing to play more, yonger players. We know what the present group can do and it isn't good enough

where do you propose getting better players? Are they hiding under a rock somewhere?

The thing that impressed me last night as opposed to previous BradleyBall matches was the relative tactical fluidity (I said relative) we showed. I don't know if this was an abandonment of the empty bucket, an evolution of it, or just the more sophisticated euro-based players ignoring it....

....but if you played "Where's Deuce?" through the match you can get a sense of what I mean - he was switching all over from his nominal right mid spot - at one point he was all the way over on the left flank for some reason.

Bruce, you idiot. The better player is being oppressed at Monaco.

Him and Benny and all we'll need is a keeper, and a mediocre one at that

We are very lucky to have Bob Bradley. I know he's not the coaching genius of the year, but he is perfect for us right now. He is solidifying the core of our team and letting them lead it, while bringing along talented younger players. We could have done SOOOO much worse.

Develop them like Anson Dorrance did on the women's side. Players don't get better when they don't get on the field.

We have some extra small minnow games coming up. Play more of the future stars and less of the current crop.

We have two central defenders that are better then Boca now. They need to get minutes... I could go right up the field and name players at every position

Run away and hide!

I mean seriously, take the frigging stick out of your ass or get around to finally popping that pimple on your ass. Last I checked, we've got nine more qualifying matches and the Confed Cup and the Gold Cup coming up before the World Cup.

Yikes, that could lead to a lawsuit!

I think he's an okay coach. He's got some definite room for improvement, I'm not really sure what the point was of our first sub coming in the 82nd minute... but you can't point that game as indication of what he would do normally, what with it being Mexico and them being a man down.

Hard to argue with his record... something like 24 wins, 7 losses, 3 ties. Not too shabby. And the best qualifying campaign on record thus far...

Bradley is the best USMNT coach in our history, imo. Excellent organizer, team leader, tactician, and motivator. I think his weakness is player technical development, however, 99%+ of that occurs at the players' club, so that's not much of a concern.

He's 21.

He should get better.

Who should we have played instead?

I can't believe the nepotism meme is still out there;it's like Republicans bitching about not enough tax cuts in the stimulus package.

England wouldn't take a chance on WCQ's, why the hell should we?

When we're through to the cup and secured first place in the hex, experiement all you want. But I'm sorry, the starters play before that happens.

I'd really like for you to go up the field and name the better players though...
