Can't find anything.

Is the the USSF going to make us knash teeth up until game time again. What a bunch of BS.

Hell Mexico announced their roster and lineup yesterday.

Needless to say I'm getting very itchie for the game to start.

Tells you all you need to know about Bob's confidence in his outside backs.

This means little cover for Beasley on the left. I guess he's very confident in his match fitness. We do have guys who can play on the left (Dempsey has for Fulham, Donovan has at times, we know Bornstein has played in the midfield for Chivas, Kljestan and Torres could depending on how the game progresses), but for none of them it's their natual position.

Davies not making the cut isn't a big deal. We've got Altidore, and Dempsey can move up. Kljestan can move up to the supporting role.

I fear for our fullbacks too, so no surprise they're all there. But really, Hejduk could have provided cover for the left and the right. Do you really need Wynne, Hejduk, Pearce, and Bornstein? Especially since Boca can move over to the left? I guess Bornstein and Pearce also provide cover for the left side of midfield.

BB is an idiot.

Only one attacking player on the bench (Altidore). 1 GK, 3 backs, 2 CM's, 1 forward.

7 backs in the 18. Ugh.

Bet money now we see Bradley/Clark.

Thats a shame about Rogers. Familiar field, chances are Beasley is going to run out of gas. Torres just got off a 90 minute game a couple of days ago.

At least he made the 20. He will have his shots.

That probably means he will move Sacha outside if DB gets worn out like he did in the Sweden game.

I didn't expect Robbie Rogers to make the cut - I was surprised he was in the 20 to begin with.

He has 1 cap and didn't look all that convinceing vs. Sweden.

I didn't expect him to get a game in our first WCQ of the Hex against our arch rivals.

I'm hoping for Clark/Kljestan and the subsequent "Pappy hates his son" threads.

Yes, must've been convenient cover if it was apparent either DMB or Torres were problems.

Yes, but I am ok with Bradley/Clark.

Rogers was only in camp to begin with because he's already in town. His only cap is a very poor showing against Sweden. Good club form is simply not enough to win you a roster spot against Mexico in the hex.

Davies, likewise, has yet to show much positive in the national team jersey despite many opportunities from Bradley. He may still be a contributor in the future, but right now he has no business on the game day roster.

I think Osario is really vulnerable to pace but will DMB effectively use his? That is the question; Reason I liked either Rogers or Davies coming in for DMB if he wasn't having a good game. Now if you assume DMB is struggling, you have no subs to provide an injection of pace. If they fall behind, I think you take Bradley or DMB off, put Sacha on the left (if DMB), Donovan at AM and play dual number 9's with Ching and Altidore.

of course he is, did you expect any more? Bunker Bob, 2 D-mid's Bob, conservative Bob at home to Cuba and Barbados.

he's doing this b/c he's coaching to not get fired like he always has

Agree. I've forecast that elsewhere. And Torres next to Mike.

- Rogers isnt "already in town". The crew are currently in florida.

- Davies would have been released back to his club, like Cooper was if he wasnt still in consideration.

Those two were Bradley's replacements in case of last minute injury. They weren't needed, so they were left off. Neither was very likely to play, but they were a heck of a lot more likely then anyone not on the 20.

Its too bad about Rogers. He knows that field like the back of his hand. DB looks small out there.

He just has to keep plugging away-he is close.

2-0.

Kljestan & Bradley. US dominated the midfield. Bradley MOTM and deservedly so. US came out and played crisp, smart attacking soccer in the first half, and the midfield was the reason for that.

Other than that, you guys were spot on.

I agree the center mids were very good but Bradley goofed by not keeping Rogers on the roster-it left him no options. An outside mid sub would have worked nicely (or he should have slid Sacha to the outside and subbed out Beas or Demp.

And if Hejduk hadn't been able to keep going, Bradley would have looked like a genius for keeping that many defenders. FWIW, the defense was the shakiest unit on the US side. It's possible that Bradley noticed that in camp and decided he'd rather have extra cover for them than for Beasley.

I guess I'm just baffled by people with psychic powers that allow them to see what the training camp and locker room look like better than the people who are there as well as to know the results in advance.
