Here it goes man. We watch are rivals L'Italie go down in convincing fashion to our current oppenents rivals Brasil. Let's not make a 0-2 for the old continent huh :p?

Les titulaires Francaises:
Mandanda - Sagna, Gallas, Mexès, Abidal - L. Diarra, Toulalan - Ribéry, Gourcuff, Henry (cap.) - Anelka.

Les Argentines:
Carrizo - J. Zanetti, Demichelis, Heinze, Papa - Mascherano (cap.), Gago - Maxi Rodriguez, Gutierrez - Messi, Agüero.

Im surprised Anelka got the start ahead of 'Benzegol', but I'm happy with the formation, and what he is putting out there. Still not convinced that Mandanda is a better choice that Lloris, but it could be Lyon bias talking. Hopefully both teams try to win and it's not a defensive borefest. Ol Domenech said they team would be going 100%, let's hope he's being serious.
Second straight start for Mexes, I hope he impresses for all our sakes. We need a consistent CD pairing for us to excell in these qualifers.

ALLEZ LES BLEUS!!!

Henry is playing left wing and Gourcuff in the middle. Ribéry as usual, crossing from the right to the middle.

Emiliano Papa (left fullback in Argentina) is their weak spot, he keeps getting behind Franck.

Messi is too fast for Gallas at times.

Very tactical game for a friendly. Messi is doing things that only he can do, running across the defence and opening spaces for Aguero. It was very even until the minute 15 but the last 2 mins Argentina is attacking. Abidal is doing well covering his side, but the Gallas-Mexès duet is a bit slow when the Kun and Messi break the sides.

Yellow for Toulalan. Good game, best friendly today.

Chile, Peru and Paraguay stopped the Argentina machine easily: they just covered the middle, Masche and Gago, and once they are disconnected from the wings, Argentina cannot score. That's why they've been tying their qualification games in the ConMeBol.

France dominating well, the Argentinians are just defending. Careful with the counter, though. Messi and El Kun are superfast.

Heinze obstructed Gourcuff in the area but not foul called.

Messi crossed to Papa who passed to Gutierrez and Mandanda was quick to save.

Very good game.
