This one is installed to show some choreos of Bundesliga matches:

One of my favourites:

Eintracht Frankfurt - Kaiserlautern

Att.: 25.283 (sold out, stadium was and is still in construction phase)

eintrachtfans.de (http://forum.myphorum.de/read.php?f=3404&i=1168&t=977&phorum_auth=bcb7f470674ed4180bd19d2e5dd60ab8#reply_1168) (10MB/4 min; as the name of the video contains a banned word I can't offer the direct link. Open the link I included...scroll down and there you'll find the link of the video)

Eintracht Ultras created this choreo. The Eagle (which is Eintracht's heraldic animal) rips the FCK logo and what emerges is an additional "U" and "C"...what then makes "F* ck".

Superior creativity....respect!

Borussia Dortmund - Gelsenkirchen

Att.: 83.000 (sold out)

stadionwelt.de (http://www.stadionwelt.de/Stadionwelt-Fans/Fan-Fotos/Fotos-Fussball-Fans/Stadionatmo_Fussball_Deutschla/Bilder_Atmo_Borussia_Dortmund/0304/BVB_schalke0304/BVB_schalke0304.htm)

stadion-live.de (http://www.stadion-live.de/aktuell/Schalke/Schalke20040130/bvb%20schalke0.htm)

Not very creative but really huge (and very expensive ;-).
The banner says "Entire Dortmund wants the Derby win"...what then didn't happen. :-(

1.FC Köln - Borussia Mönchengladbach

Att.: 51.000 (sold out, for the first time full capacity of the new stadium)

stadionwelt.de (http://www.stadionwelt.de/Stadionwelt-Fans/Fan-Fotos/Fotos-Fussball-Fans/Stadionatmo_Fussball_Deutschla/Bilder_Atmo_1_FC_Koln/0304/FC-bmg_0304/FC_bmg_0304.html)

The banner says "The fight of the red knights (Köln) against the green farmers (Gladbach) goes on"

What's up with the Confederate flag in the crowd pictures from Cologne? Why would German soccer fans possibly be waving this controversial US symbol?

Well, teh Confederate Flag is a symbol of rebelism like Che Guevra is. And we germans somehow associate with that born-to-be-wild-feeling like cruising down route 66 on a harley, something pure American against old European values ;-)

What 96Squig said is right. Here in Germany most people don't think of what this flag could stand for in the USA back then or today. It is more a "route66"-thing but not completely. Enough people know what this means (to some people) and thus like it or dislike it. I am member of the latter group and just don't like flags like this. But at all I haven't recognized till you mentioned it.

Interesting. It is indeed a flag of (unsuccessful and shortsighted) rebellion. But the most prevalent justification for flying the Confederate flag (in one way, shape or form) in the US is that it is a representation of Southern heritage. That (and any other) justification ignores the fact that the Southern heritage represented by the Confederate flag includes wholesale support for slavery. Indeed, the flag is viewed by many as a symbol of racism and intolerance. Personally, I like the Homer and Bart Simpson banners I see at German soccer games.

I should add that Route 66 was a road primarily associated with the American West (a different kind of rebellion, to be sure). It ran from Chicago to LA, and my history is a little fuzzy here, but the only old slave states it ran through were Missouri and, maybe, Oklahoma (it definitely ran through those states--I'm just not certain if those states were old slave states).

Hey, and welcome to BigSoccer, 96Squig.

well, at the other hand I like the look of the confederated flag, and it fits in with red teams very well (as the 1. FC Köln).

"7 matches/7 victories - FCB reign here"

Look at Real's missing crown and what FCB's logo has got. A great choreo!

Champions League 1/8 first leg: VfB Stuttgart - Chelsea F.C.

Att: 42.000 (capacity)

stadionwelt.de (http://www.stadionwelt.de/Stadionwelt-Fans/Fan-Fotos/Fotos-Fussball-Fans/Stadionatmo_Fussball_Deutschla/Bilder_Atmo_VfB_Stuttgart/0304/STUTT_Chelsea0304/STUTT_Chelsea.html)

Thanks!!

Not often a Dortmund supporter will compliment us :D

Is it me or does it seem Germany in general has up'ed the choreo?

I always hated the stereotypical "mullet fan" the world sees us as.

BL23: 1860 München - Werder Bremen

Att: 25.000 (capacity: 69.000)

stadionwelt.de (http://www.stadionwelt.de/Stadionwelt-Fans/Fan-Fotos/Fotos-Fussball-Fans/Stadionatmo_Fussball_Deutschla/Bilder_Atmo_1860_Munchen/0304/1860M_bremen0304/1860M_bremen0304.htm)

1. "TSV 1860 München - Cosa Nostra"

2. "Realize it. For the red scum there is nothing more than hate and contempt!"

First one not very creative but huge. "Cosa Nostra" is a 1860 fanclub.

BL23: 1.FC Kaiserslautern - Eintracht Frankfurt

Att: 40.592 (capacity: 42.069)

stadionwelt.de (http://www.stadionwelt.de/Stadionwelt-Fans/Fan-Fotos/Fotos-Fussball-Fans/Stadionatmo_Fussball_Deutschla/Bilder_Atmo_1_FC_Kaiserslauter/0304/FCK_frankfurt0304/FCK_frankfurt0304.htm)

1. "Honour to those who deserve it - Ottmar Walter - 80 years"

2. "Our crest in your claws...that's how you would love it"

There is a rivalry between Lautern and Frankfurt. Have a look at match day 6 and the video I posted in this thread. There the Eintracht eagle rips the Lautern logo. Now the Lautern fans reacted with an own coreo. The ealge tries to rip their logo once again but a red devil, as the Lautern fans and players are called, appears and grips, chokes and finally defeats the eagle.

REALLY huge and the eagle-devil choreo is pretty amusing and creative. Also astonishing that both choreos were on the same stand (Westtribüne where the die-hards are)

"So that really everybody understands....Away win"

The phrase is shown in many languages. I guess the mother tongues of the foreign players. Pretty funny.

Att: 21.135 (capacity: 25.894)

1. "Thank you Ralf (Rangnick)"

2. "Without Rangnick we would be here"

3. "Thank you Ralf for making a dream come through"

Ralf Rangnick was sacked last week. The fans still seem to like him very much.

1. "The queen of the Hanseatic League honours this place!"

2. "Checkmate in round 5!!!"

Bremen and Lübeck are both Hanseatic cities which had great influence during the Hanseatic League's climax.

DFB Cup 1/2: Alemannia Aachen- VfL Borussia Mönchengladbach

Att: 20.400 (Tivoli, capacity)

"Yesterday still scandals, today the semi, tomorrow steal the cup and the day after tomorrow talking about Europe.

In fact in German this is a rhyme and so pretty creative.

"Juri, more than just a coach"

Juri Schlünz is a myth already at Hansa as he joind the club 36 years ago (when he was 6). He played for the club in the DDR league and the Bundesliga of united Germany, was then assistant coach and since last October chief coach.

"Beach instead of roadside and a palm flutterer from the employment office."

The palm flutterer is the Ultras Gelsenkirchen man. This shows the Schlacke fans who is number one in the Ruhr Valley right now.

BL30: Bayern München - TSV 1860 München

Att: 71.000 (Olympiastadion, sold out......to the absolute maximum)

stadionwelt.de (http://www.stadionwelt.de/Stadionwelt-Fans/Fan-Fotos/Fotos-Fussball-Fans/Stadionatmo_Fussball_Deutschla/Bilder_Atmo_Bayern_Munchen/0304/fcb_1860/fcb_1860.html) (Bayern) + stadionwelt.de (http://www.stadionwelt.de/Stadionwelt-Fans/Fan-Fotos/Fotos-Fussball-Fans/Stadionatmo_Fussball_Deutschla/Bilder_Atmo_1860_Munchen/0304/fcb_1860/fcb_1860.htm) (1860)

Bayern: "And outside the red city, the blues stand and wait." (Actually this is taken from a German song that goes like:"And outside the big city, the wh*res are waiting")

1860: "Sechzig" (German for "sixty")
