Des Moines Menace Stadium Delayed.

Well, nothing in the press release or website writeup indicated this at all. On the front page of today's Des Moines Register Sports section was a story about yesterday's naming rights press conference. Good publicity except that the article focused on the fact that Liberty Bell Stadium won't open until 2004, a year later than expected. The Stadium Foundatation website pages have been updated to state 2003 when opening year was given.

no offense, but if they hadn't started it yet, i think it would be fairly hard to work through a midwestern winter to have it ready by the start of next season...
