well the roster is pretty straight forward, just interesting not too see Adu on the roster.

Freddy is a player that could come in later if we need him to, he might be missed.

I'm curious how rogers has earned a call up over adu?

Did bradley even watch the games against argentina and spain?

I don't think Rogers will make the final 18. The player who nosed out Adu is Davies. The two cuts in getting down from 20 to 18 are likely to be Rogers and one of Bornstein/Pearce/Wynne.

Different positions. Rogers is at LM

I am sure Bradley would have loved to have not been forced to call in bench warmer Heath Pearce, but Bob's hands are tied with certain players at certain positions.

Good point about Rogers, it's a real possibility. Just brought him along because he is a local, and it's better than bringing in Adu from France if you have no intention of playing him.

I would've like to see Orozco get a call over califf. Suprised about rogers getting a call. regardless of how I feel about this roster we will still win

why? yea he's in season but califf has always been number three and the Sweden performance makes him a lock for the bench

Cover for our LM.

My main concern on Wednesday, if things do not go well early in the match, will be to see if Bradley has any "cover" if we fail to produce not just goals, but clear chances as the game moves on to the latter stages IF Mexico is trying to hold on to a favorable result.... whether in front or tied....We'll have to wait and see i guess.....

Settle down, nobody's complaining here. At least I'm not, anyway.

Just pointing out a couple of absences who happened to play in our last game (Sweden).

Flipstar,

Orozco and San Luis have a Copa Libertadores game, I believe its away, on Wed. Maybe that influenced BB decision not to call him in this time.

Because he plays against these guys every week. Califf played against a sweden B team. Califf is a quality CB but I'd rather have someone who has experience playing against mexicans. Torres get called so why not Orozco.

Pretty solid stuff.

Though I'm surprised no Adu. The Dolo injury hurt him, if he was healthy, Hejduk would be cover for both sides, and Wynne and Bornstein would likely both be home (or at least one of them), and there would be room for Freddy.

Still, I'll take Adu over Davies any day, though they are different players.

Davies is late game speed, as is Rogers.

Still, Adu is capable of more magic than anyone on the roster, except LD, I'd want him out there if we need a goal.

No Cooper.

No Parkhurst.
After Bradley called Parkhurst in out of desperation for the Sweden match (something I'm sure he wasn't originally intending to do) and interrupted his acclimation to his new setting, I'm guessing Bradley agreed not to pull him out again just to have him as a third or fourth choice centerback on the bench.

That would make some sence but i doubt it because playing for your country let alone against in the hex is the most important thing.

I'm assuming that our offensive subs if we fall behind are Altidore and Davies.

Interesting that these two offensive players who sat the bench in the Olympics are here and Adu, who had a strong Olympics and strong appearances vs good teams last year, is not.
