Its sad because 10+ years ago PSG were among the biggest European clubs and now it looks like those days are long gone and not coming back anytime soon.

It's English press and it was definitely taken out of context. Vahid was a fine forward for PSG in the 70's/80's and his have more to do with the club's budget than anything else. Here's the big issue. players in Ligue 1 are hit up for 55% of their earnings via the French government, so who in their right mind would stay when there are other places in Europe where the tax is much lower and or none at all if you're a foreigner. I have no beef with what he's saying. He'll be at PSG for awhile especially when we're back in Champion's League next year.
FYI -- PSG is still a member of the G25 which are the wealthiest clubs in Europe.
