I am a bit biased, but I'd take the Barcelona XI, replace gk with Casillas, replace Abidal with Evra, replace Marquez with Ferdinand (even though I think Vidic is playing better, Ferdinand would fit in better), and replace Henry with Robben.

Every team without The legend that is Gary Neville is plain wrong.

Gigi Buffon + ManU backline + Barca midfield & attack = Unbeatable. No, It is not.

The might and already legendary Brazilian RB Maicon is a lot better than the likes of D.Alves who can’t defend to save his life and needs to move to the left for him at the Brazil NT for one main reason too: he is his bitch. So what you’re going to leave Puyol in defense? He’s a shit defender let the Mexican stay then as he is easily better, not that he should be there as there are far better defenders than both and especially much better than the likes of Puyol. Evra is a liability in defense. He does not regularly start over Abidal for France for a reason and Abidal is not that good himself overall. Ferdinand is a plastic joke compared to Chiellini. He’s solid at times but has been tricked way to easily over the years at the biggest stage with England and in the CL I have seen him get owned far to many times to be put in a XI. His performers’ in the EPL are irrelevant as he can’t bring it at the biggest stage constantly.

So the whole Barca midfield, let’s see Yaya Toure above the likes of Cambiasso for instance? Please get real he’s nowhere near the best DMFs in the world. Xavi will always be a poor man’s Pirlo when Pirlo likes to play mainly when he plays for Italia as he does not give a f.uck about Milan these days. Who is the third midfielder of Barcelona? Keita, Hleb or that Icelander who cares? There are far better CMF’s than all 3. Much, much better in fact. As Iniesta plays as a winger mostly these days he can’t be included on midfield, although he is debatable up their as a playmaking CMF as is Xavi btw, although again Pirlo beats the shit when he wants to out of both.

Eto’o is nowhere near the unique footballer that is Ibrahimovic up front and not near as clinical as D.Villa for instance. Both piss over him on their own way. Bar Messi who should be in everybody’s XI the rest of the Barcelona team is debatable at best and only a few players are debatable really.

I'm picking a team that I like and that will play well together right now. If this were 10 or 5 years ago, I might pick Gary Neville. But I am not going to pick someone who is struggling to start right now over an 18 year-old.

The might and already legendary Brazilian RB Maicon is a lot better than the likes of D.Alves who can’t defend to save his life and needs to move to the left for him at the Brazil NT for one main reason too: he is his bitch.

The idea that Alves can't defend is just a mistake: people assume that it's the case because he spends so much time attacking. In reality, he is a good tackler and good at shutting down wingers one-on-one. About all you could say is that, because he goes forward so much, he leaves a lot of space behind him that a team might exploit. Fine, but his skills going forward more than compensate for that risk: he averages over 10 assists from the rightback position every year, and he already has over 10 assists this year.

As for being Maicon's "bitch," please. They are both great players. Right now, I think Alves is better. Dunga also plays Elano in his starting team, which doesn't speak much for his personnel decisions.

Evra is a liability in defense. He does not regularly start over Abidal for France for a reason and Abidal is not that good himself overall.

So after relying on the authority of Dunga's tactical genius to make your choice of rightback, now you're going to call on Domenech's for leftback? Exactly when has Evra shown himself to be a liability in defense? During the current record string of clean sheets ManU has put together?

So what you’re going to leave Puyol in defense? He’s a shit defender let the Mexican stay then as he is easily better, not that he should be there as there are far better defenders than both and especially much better than the likes of Puyol.

This I don't even know how to respond to. You're a fan of the "biggest stage." How'd he do at the Euro?--or in the other 29 games without losing that Spain has played? And for Barca he does everything that could expected at centerback, as well as cover for everyone's mistakes. No one covers as much space on the ground and in the air as Puyol.

Yes, let's just conveniently ignore the role he has played in the defense that is currently setting the record for the most consecutive clean sheets in the EPL.

let’s see Yaya Toure above the likes of Cambiasso for instance? Please get real he’s nowhere near the best DMFs in the world.

Isn't Cambiasso Mascherano's "bitch"? Either way, on current form, I'll take a beast of a defensive midfielder who can score goals like this:

YouTube - FC Barcelona 3-1 Mallorca toure goal

Xavi will always be a poor man’s Pirlo when Pirlo likes to play mainly when he plays for Italia as he does not give a f.uck about Milan these days. Who is the third midfielder of Barcelona? Keita, Hleb or that Icelander who cares? There are far better CMF’s than all 3. Much, much better in fact. As Iniesta plays as a winger mostly these days he can’t be included on midfield, although he is debatable up their as a playmaking CMF as is Xavi btw, although again Pirlo beats the shit when he wants to out of both.

Iniesta's main position is behind Henry, as Xavi's is behind Messi. As for Pirlo, again, if this were 2006, he might be on the team, but right now he's just Milan's second best long passer.

Eto’o is nowhere near the unique footballer that is Ibrahimovic up front and not near as clinical as D.Villa for instance. Both piss over him on their own way.

They may be pissing all over him, but they are missing the spot right in front of him, which is the goal, where he has scored 21 times in 21 La Liga games.
