@footyfan

When Bayern "fans" do it, it gets mentioned every freaking time. And rightfully so, because we all know that the % of glory hunting fans there is higher than elsewhere.

You either go to the stadium to support your team, or you don't. And your team actually needs support the most when they are demoralised like Hoffenheim were today after conceding the fourth. That's what fans, real supporters, do. Consumers are not satisfied with the show and leave. Period.

Ibisevic's loss might hurt them more than I thought. Sanogo is no Ibisevic replacement. He is disturbing their entire system.

What a surprise...The bremer is just as lazy as a friend told me. We are better if we trust our own boys, Wellington, Terrazzino.

3 matches, 4 goals ! Obasi, Eduardo were missed and Ibisevic is missed, of course. He was involved on 40 % of all Hoffenheim goals, that's a fact.

Leverkusen could become a 'Angstgegner' for Hoffenheim in the future.

I'd say it's part of a bigger problem. Hoffenheim have lost against most of the 'bigger' Bundesliga clubs this season. Could be psychological reasons, or simply lack of 'cleverness' of this very young, and often hasty team.

Hoffenheim are a young team full of raw talent that needs to mature and become more stable. They are a talented team, and need become a quality one. Quality is basically refined talent.

Correct. But we have not the fans like fans of Boca or River, who support full 90 minutes and sing even when their teams are not winning.

But you could copy your text every time to almost every European club. Fans leave the arena's when Real Madrid is playing shit, I've seen it in Chelsea, in Barcelona, in Munich...and so on. Nothing new here. Another possible explanation why many left tonight could be that the infra structure around the stadium is still in the making and it is said to be not working well. I've read that the people arriving with cars had to wait more than 2 hours before the opening against Cottbus weeks ago...

And you write as if every Hoffenheim fan left the stadium. Did they? I don't think so.

Some "consumers" as you call them, decide to leave.

Not everyone is a rabid fan. Personally, I stay until the final whistle no matter what the game or score is.

But I know everyone isn't like me and I don't put them down for not being like me.

They paid their money, they can leave whenever they freakin' please.

Who are you to label someone as less than a true supporter if they just can't take a horrible performance from their team anymore?

Man, come on. Why this "holier than thou" bullshit when it is Hoffenheim?

No "holier than thou", and definitely not just when it comes to Hoffenheim. Just telling it like it is. Why you get your knickers in a knot every time someone dares to criticise anything Hoffenheim related is the much more interesting question here.

I didn't say they should go to UEFA Cup next season instead of Champions League for no reason. Damn I'm good.

When was the last time you heard the freakin' Leverkusen fans drown out any home fans at an away match??
I've actually wondered to myself that I've never heard even a Hoffenheim song before

I say no to the UEFA-Cup. I prefer to see the team ending up 7,8 than watching them playing in the ********** competition called uefa-cup.

Sportschau host announced that Hoffenheim matches are the most viewed during the show.

And:

Pay-TV channel Premiere reached the highest rating EVER ( since 1991) when Hoffenheim played in Munich in December. 1 Million of the 2.5 subscribers watched the game. Not even a blockbuster or any other event was viewed by more.

What a hype !

I hope Rangnick will return to the 4-3-3 against Stuttgart.

Beck - CB (hoping for Compper) - Fabricio
Eduardo - Gustavo - Salihovic
Obasi - Wellington - Ba

And how the hell do you expect them to gain experience? Throwing a team for the first time in Champions League is like throwing a goat with a pack of wolves, the Hoff will get torn apart. They need UEFA more than you think man, unless you don't want to see this team be a success in Champions League. They need to learn when there is pressure, what happens when you dominate and get scored on, how to react to it (which clearly looking at the Loserkusen game, your team doesn't how to react if things don't go perfectly that way). So tell me please, how do you think they will gain the necessary experience to not blow it at the Champions League level? Playing well in the Bundesliga?

They would play the pre-round in the CL, that's a good thing to touch the international football world. How many games are it ? 6 ? Enough. Who expects 'wunderdinge' from Hoffenheim in the CL ? Many other German Bundesliga clubs played sh*t and punished themselves in the CL, Schalke, Hamburg, this year Bremen. If good they (1899) end up being 3rd and then will play in the UEFA-cup. If not, then not.

Everything is happening so fast with that team, we will pay tribute one day. No need to rush things.

I think it's no shame to end up on second or third position. It's the first year. And it's a pretty young team.
The future ist theirs. Munich already gets nervous.

I was able to see one scene, the penalty scene at the end. Sejad....I know why I have a love/hate relationship with him.

Lol @ Lehmann throwing Salihovic's shoe away. http://mainzelsmile.ioff.de/genervt/vogel.gif

I just read the doping story. No peaceful times for Hoffenheim these months.

Hoffenheim's Andreas Ibertsberger and Christoph Janker could face possible bans after failing to take a drugs test in the allotted time.
The defenders attended a team meeting and were then ten minutes late for the test after Hoffenheim's 1-1 draw with Borussia Monchengladbach on 7th February.
While both produced negative tests, the disciplinary committee of the German Football Federation (DFB) is looking into the matter.
Dr Rainer Koch, a DFB vice-president, told the governing body's official website: "At first glance, the case resembles the circumstances of Italian players Daniele Mannini (who plays for Napoli), and Davide Possanzini, (who plays for Brescia), who were each given a one-year ban by the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) in January this year.
"Whether that decision is applicable to the two Hoffenheim players is now up to the DFB's disciplinary committee to decide."

The Hoffenheim manager said yesterday on Premiere that the players were ten minutes late for the test because they went to a team meeting called by Rangnick first.
