1-0 Hoffenheim, Obasi so far against Getafe

still on going

1-2 in the last minute.

Good thing. No reason to over hype the team.

Not sure about “over” , but I’m definitely hyping them

I’ll put bet a few euros on them winning the bundesliga.

No I wanted to write, that the team is back to reality, since the other tests against Athens and Fener were bit better. ;)

I actually have spoke with some people, hardly anyone is mentioning Hoffenheim for a big season. Hugely underrated, since the best players staying, and I doubt that the teams suffers from all the injuries again plus the squad was fulfilled with more players.

a top ten season would be a great year. Staying up has to be the goal, and should be attainable.

Its the same for both clubs for me ;)

Second season is always when the trouble comes.

You don't reckon Hoffenheim is a "special case??" :D

doing it two years in a row would be very impressive. If they start hot, maybe they can finish top 6, but its going to be much harder this year.

Well, I think they aren't the typical "promoted" side.

I don't know that they'll push for the title, but with that roster they have, I don't think falling to the bottom of the table is a worry either.

I don't see them as a relegation candidate either, but a top 10 finish should be pretty solid.

I wouldn't be surprised if they were a top 6, but I think this is going to be very competitive.

I didn't say you see them as a "relegation candidate". But the comment you made to spark this entire thing was "Staying up has to be the goal, and should be attainable."

What I'm getting at is that with Hoffenheim, "Staying up" doesn't have to be the goal because they've built such a strong squad, they shouldn't have to worry about falling back.

This isn't Karlsruhe we're talking about here. Which is why I said Hoffenheim isn't your typical second-year "promoted" team when you said the second year is always the toughest.

We agree that Hoffy has top ten, maybe even perhaps top five potential........

I wouldn't be surprised if they were a top 6, but I think this is going to be very competitive.

Totally agree here.

One of the ways I'm making fellow Dortmund fans angry is that too many of them assume that because we finished in the top six last season, we will again.

They hate that I tell them that other teams, including Hoffenheim, did more to get better than we did.......

They should be able to make UEFA I think.

From what I am understanding, the Demba Ba replacement was supposed to be:

Seydou Doumbia

Goal scorer from Bern. Never heard of him. But sounds very much Hoffenheim material.

1899 Hoffenheim und Mittelfeldspieler Carlos Eduardo haben ihre Zusammenarbeit vorzeitig um ein weiteres Jahr bis 30.06.2013 verlängert. According to the worlds most honourable newspaper, BILD, Carlos Eduardo can leave if a club offers: 80 M€ .:D

http://www.bild.de/BILD/sport/fussball/bundesliga/vereine/hoffenheim/2009/07/29/carlos-eduardo/verlaengert-bis-2013.html

Well, I have expected that the club will write a big clause in his contract, but 80 M€ is too good to be true.

It's Per Nilsson.

Uh...why not.

He is not even a regular starter, but looks like he can bring some good mood in the team. :D

edit: Salihovic is vice captain, and will become the captain way more often since he is someone from the starting 11.

He plays all 3 attacking positions (both wings and main striker). Good skill, decent in the air, but most importantly he scores tons and tons of goals. 20 goals and 10 assists in... 8 starts! He made 24 substitute appearances and 8 starts, and still managed to finish top scorer!

Of course this season he has been a regular starter so far. 3 starts, 4 goals, 1 assist, Bern at the top of the table.

Thanks for the info ! His goal numbers seems to be out of the world now. He scored against Bilbao tonight. I will observe this guy.
