Best for Hoffenheim would be to keep Rangnick imo. But we'll see what they do.

Kicker already connects Klinsmann with you and Rangnick with Wolfsburg
after Magaths departure to Schalke ...
...no surprise.
Rangnick never wanted to step down or to threat with retiring, but he won't accept the small budget for new quality players. I agree with him.

10 million is no small budget for a team that doesn't even make Europe...
Some of Rangnicks recent quotes like "Even Hannover has more money than us." are starting to sound pretty rediculous. :D

He would be pretty Hoeneß-Like if he would not learn anything from that horrible year 2009. I mean, Hopp was more generous when they were in Bundesliga 2 !
Last week Hopp said, that the target is international competition next season, and yesterday he said that the team will relegated next season. So basically the team which was good enough to play international after last weeks statements,, is now so bad not to make it in the Bundesliga.
10 Millions for 6-7 quality players are...well..it's not much.

Do Hoffenheim really need that many new players?
I think there might be an overreaction to their second half of the season. You guys have been extremely unlucky with injuries. Had that not happened I don't think you would find yourself in the position you are in.
Also, it is a young team after all, experience is very important in being successful and that comes with time.
What they need are a few additions and most importantly, for the squad to stay healthy.

have to add depth to compete for the long haul. Not sure about how many, but I would think 3-4 players would help a lot.

Right, not 6-7.

Do Hoffenheim really need that many new players?
Rangnick wants to secure that every position is occupied twice.
What is needed, imho
Back up Right Back
Back up Left Back
Back up CB
Back up Right Midfield
Back up Left Midfield
Back up DM
Back up AM
Back up CF [if Wellington goes]
CB [Jaissle will be out until November / winter break]
LB [If 1899 will not pay the 3,5 million Flamengo wants]
8 players as back ups are wanted if they can get versatile players I will break it down to 5 players with good quality.
2 new players for the first team, maybe just one the LB [top need]
Not calculated: Leavings [Obasi ]

That's a dream scenario - if he picked up 4 players, a couple of who can play more than one position, that would be huge.
Injuries are going to be hard to deal with in bulk, but hopefully they will bring up a young talent or two.

Kicker has a new interesting interview with Rangnick, (I love that guy!)
http://www.kicker.de/news/fussball/bundesliga/startseite/artikel/508156
The next 6-8 weeks is the time, where the next step needs to be made....[it is not realistic to gain a Uefa-Cup spot..because of the budget] But we need to substitute 4,5,6 injuries. We need 6 to 8 new players.
Why so many new players:
To strengthen the team we need 3 new players which have the potential to start from the beginning. [ 3 players in the starting eleven. The others new players secure the first eleven, my scenaro with the many back-ups are not unrealistc]
Mister Hopp knows that it is important for me and my players to know how the next development will look like. It it all about what can be realised.
At the end of the day this team is the baby of Hopp, Schindelmeiser and Rangnick. :)

We still miss up to 7 players, but hell...who cares ?
Fabricio will get his first starter against C*l*gne, and I hope he can make an impact, and is worth the 3.5 million Fla wants.
Taison from Inter is said to be on the new transfer list. My...if that would be true....

Player praise Rangnick:

Players like Ba, Obasi, Eduardo all came because of Rangnick, because they know he's a Champions League-calibre coach and is great at developing young talents. All the players have him to thank.
