View Full Version : Need help finding robbie fowler goal celebration
I'm looking for video of the Robbie Fowler goal celebration at Goodison where he snorted the line. I've scoured the web looking for it. If you have the url or access to it please PM me. Thanks.

You wouldn't think it would be difficult, but a Google search is bringing me nothing...

Yea... I found it awhile back, and have it on my computer. I will e-mail it to if you don't find it eventually, and if ya PM me your address. It's not a very large pic, but it is about as direct and encapsulating as it gets.

Here's another pic of the celebration--a bit larger, and with McManaman:

Anyone see Robbie recently when City played Manure? The Mancs were giving him grief as usual and he got subbed. As he was coming off he turned to the Man U fans and held up four fingers, one for each European Cup. Haha! Good ole Robbie. Still a Red at heart.

Aargh, I hate to do this.
But ...
<ruthless_pedant>That's an urban myth that pops up after more or less every game that Fowler has played against United since leaving us. In this particular instance, it also didn't actually happen. Fowler wasn't subbed in that game.</ruthless_pedant>
Man, I need to get out more. ;)

I take absolutely no pleasure in correcting an Englishman, particularly a Redman but:

I stand corrected on the myth part then. I saw this being bandied around on TTWR a while back and someone was moaning about how these myths go round and linked to a report of the game that showed he had not been subbed.
'Walks off'. At the end of the game, in other words.
Which means it must have been near the tunnel. Nice one - the Stretford end. :D
