We all know Nadal loves football, supports Real Madrid, and his uncle is a football player who once played for Spain and Barcelona. Nadal played both football and tennis starting at a very young age, until 12, when his father wanted him to choose only 1 sport to focus on. He chose tennis.
What if he chose football? What kind of player would he have become? What position will he play? What will be his strength and weakness? What team will he be at right now? Will he be playing for the national team already?

Most likely he would have been an average player who wouldn't even make it professionally. Everybody on here loves football too and none of us are professionals!

Then he would be a football player, who knows if he was good or not:)

Exactly. No way to tell. But you probably CAN conclude that Federer would have about 19 majors and a Grand Slam by now with no Nadal in the picture.

LOL! If Nadal chose football, maybe people wouldn't be arguing about Messi vs Ronaldo.

He'd have a hard time running in those capri shorts, for sure. The ref probably won't let him bring a racket onto the pitch. But he'd be fantastic on clay.

Damn ... you beat me to it. Federer would have 18 Grand Slams now including 3 French Opens.
As a football player .... who knows. Nadal has a lot of determination and his mental strength is incredible. So if he didn't make it, it wouldn't have been because of lack of determination.
Only one thing is for sure, we definitely would have missed on some of the greatest tennis matches in history.
