Forgotten movie title

I was walking through blockbuster years ago and I came across a movie that took place years after world war 2, under the premise that the Germans won the war. The entire empire of Germany was about to celebrate Hitlers 50th year as Fuhrer (or maybe it was 40th, or maybe just a birthday, not sure) and the United States was just beginning to uncover the whole holocaust deal, as it was covered up by Hitlers police... Does anyone have any idea what movie I'm talking about? I'd really like to see it and I'm not sure why i didn't rent it way back then. If anyone can help I'd appreciate it...

The book was a lot better. I was a big fan of the book so the movie was a disappointment.

I love the book.... got disappointed that it was made into a HBO movie. I don't have HBO.... :(
