For the love of G-d....

£15mil deal allegedly sealed.

Who next? Steed? Tainio? Timothee bleedin' Atouba?

Defoe must hate his foot if this is true............

Seriously...this is rubbish...He didn't want to stay when we wanted him, why should we give him a chance to come back when he fails at his 'boyhood' club? Will he leave again if his 'boyhood'(if rb is sacked and the new manager wants him) club coming calling in the summer again?:mad::mad:

At this time, what options do we have? We're talking about a couple of loan deals allegedly, but if Defoe is out, Keane and Pav would be a good partnership I think. Dammit all, why did Jermaine have to get hurt?

I have to wonder how much of it was Ramos -- despite whatever he says in the press. Keano obviously did not fit into JR's plans so he chose to move on.

I'll welcome Keane back... he hasn't become a crappy player all of a sudden in 6 months.

Also, if we made 5 mil in the process, that's just good business. (Well, except for the part where we suck this year because we gave away our best players this summer.)

All I know:

Tomorrow is going to be a very interesting day, to say the least.

The only negative...the UEFA Cup registration deadline was today. :(

I feel that everything that is going on with Robbie is political between Benitez and Parry and it is a damn shame that it happened to a guy who tries his guts out all the time.

He only got himself to blame for not understanding the situation there.

I wish Redknapp would keep his mouth shut sometimes.

What a waste of funds. He was quick to get off the ship and now he is coming back to contend with DEFOE once again for a starting spot. So now we have a 4th striker and I can see Bent and Defoe on the bench again. We should have taken him back on loan. So now Defoe will once again possibly not be the odd man out. This is stupid. How much have we spent in this window if he comes???

Everything seems to be setting up nicely for a leeds type drop.

Current reports say that Liverpool are demanding Lennon in exchange.

The words, 'right', 'off, and '********', in a different order spring to mind at this point.

We need a big striker anyway.

Yeah seriously, a £5M loan deal for half a season ... that's awesome! Throw in the fact that we seriously tapped him up after exacting a pound of flesh from Liverpool only a few months earlier for exactly the same practice and this looks like another excellent deal from Levy. Throw in that we were going to pay the same thing for Craig "I'm gonna dump where I eat within 1 year" Bellamy, and this looks like a good deal.

Let's face it, Defoe is crocked, so we're back to having the unmanageable pair of Pavy + Bent. That's not going to do it for us I'm afraid, and I'm not excited about the prospect of the Coalaship ... when Levy promised us new challenges and exotic opponents and travel to new exciting grounds, THAT wasn't what I had in mind.

I can't help but think that when the "Ramos Revolution" was happening Jol predicted we'd suck and even went so far as to say that the team he had was better than the team we were building ... and darned if he wasn't right again ... and darned if we're not trying to rebuild that Jol team. :D

BTW, Jol remains hovering around 2nd in the Bundesliga despite losing many of his most talented players ... and he remains ahead of Bayern Munich. Not a bad result for his first season in the Bundesliga and having a low budget lineup with a turnstile front door where the ownership sells all of your best players. WTG Jol, congrats. Nobody deserves this success more than you.

Liverpool didnt have the funds to pay 20.3 million pounds straight away so after 6 months, we probably wouldve paid only a few million. Its the same with most deals.

Well, Keano's back (http://www.tottenhamhotspur.com/news/articles/robbiereturns020209.html) and while I was not a big supporter of this pursuit, I think Defoe's injury forced our hand.

Having him around will be a plus in the dressing room (except with Bent and Defoe) and we go back to having 4 strikers -- even though we probably won't be able to play him in the UEFA cup. He also played for Liverpool in the League cup, so he can't play for us in the final against Manure.

Having only made 28 appearances this season so far, at least he's fresh! He'll certainly have to cover a lot of ground for Pavvy who's been playing for 2 years straight...

thank you.

You lot didn't get 20 mil then pay 15, you got maybe 8 mil and still paid 15.

First off it's 12 mil, not 15.

Second, the 12 will be paid to you on the same schedule that the 20.3 was supposed to be paid to us (i.e. over a loong period of time). So no, you don't have the money yet.

Third, no matter what the numbers, Digi's point was that we made a profit for what amounted to a half a season loan.

Thanks for the cash.

of all the old gang i would have preferred getting carrick back. i think he and modric could have forged quite a nice partnership. still keane is a class player who will benefit the team. welcome back robbie.

very happy that levy/redknapp didn't send lennon in the opposite direction.

thank you.

really? what other details of the contract can you tell us about? were you there or simply one the solicitors or club officials?

now i'll speak out of my arse just as much, but probably a tad closer to reality. spurs forgave the outstanding debt owed by liverpool and sent any of the remainder to liverpool. the net result i suspect is very much that liverpool paid spurs £5 million for a six month loan.

I think the WHL crowd will welcome him back with open arms. He got a very mixed reception playing for Liverpool in the league game, some boos and some applause, and a nice round of applause when he was subbed off. Compared to the Berbatov barracking, much more positive.

We should see him in the NLD. Maybe he'll be dancing at the end, again.

Liverpool were paying in increments to the contract. That was made very clear when Keane was signed, I don't know why it's being disputed here. Liverpool never paid 20mil, yet Spurs are saying that they got a great deal out of it.

btw, I'm honestly not trying to troll and I apologize if it comes off like I am. I like Spurs and respect them as a club, and think it's fckng terribly unlucky the way the season is unwinding for you lot.
