Update: Nugent scored a late goal with his Portsmouth side down 3-0, as his squad continues to fall down the standings after their 3-1 loss to Fulham on Saturday.
Analysis: Nugent is expected to step in and replicate what Jermain Defoe was for Portsmouth and it just has not happened yet. Pompey have the money from the Defoe sale to go out and buy reinforcements, but it just seems that the entire squad are in the process of waving the white flag.
