Because it would conflict with le games played in la France. This is a good development, this cup is not worthy to be won by our fantastique team anyway.
Brasil will have a chance to win it le now.

Oh really....that's a bold statement considering la France's pathetic showing at WC 2002 (the highest cup).
Personally it sounds to me like la France are le COWARDS.

Et not hurt le feelings of minnow boy, he is just le sad because even though la France our b team is not their to win le cup, even then le USA has no chance of beating le b teams of le other countries to win this cup.

Are you too young to remember France winning the Cup in '98 or perhaps the European Championships in '00? Oh that's right, you're mind is probably too cluttered, and your eyes too tear-filled remembering the Boston Red Sox blowing another season to their arch rival New York Yankees. (Sorry for the baseball reference to the Euros on here but the Red Sox haven't won a championship since 1918). Their collapse this year to their archrival was much like being up 2-0 in injury time, giving up two goals, then giving up the golden goal in the 118th minute in the semifinals of the World Cup.
Again, what has the U.S. Mens National Team ever done? There are 280 million Americans but can't win even CONCACAF.
And how about the Revs? What has the team contributed to international soccer? No one from the Revs has gone on to do bigger and better across the pond--and no, Joe Max Moore does not count, after initial success he was a flop.
At least the Metro Stars produced Tim Howard!
