If MLS one day become a league with 24 teams. I'm 95% confident that Montreal will be one of them. It's a large market that support soccer. My guess? within 10 years, Montreal will have the team. The question is who will be the owner if not Saputo?
Since Montreal is a very good market to be in, there might be an investor other than Saputo who might fund the team and stadium.
Any local billionaire around Montreal or Quebec?
Any sites in the city that could host the stadium?

I personally would love to see Montreal get a team... but so far they seem to be putting forward half-hearted bids. I think the French aspect would be great for the league.

I like the idea. Two teams would be sweet. Then we could have a derby!! Plus it could bring the best of both, USL and MLS (cause no offense to any but MLS in my opinion is not the stand out winner). Granted I would be hard pressed of which team to pick. I'd probably have to go Impact but I can be swayed.....:D
But as for Kachkar, hes from Syria, grew up in Alberta. But I'm sure now hes more of an international guy being a CEO of a company thats been having legal wranglings in France, Ireland, and Puerto Rico, which have been intensifying of late; leading me to believe at this point he isn't looking around for another project.
As for a SSS, which would be a neccessity, I don't think there any good spots left on the East End but maybe Angrinon or Griffontown around where Saputo looked before would be a nice place to go. Then it would be a good Geographical distinction too, West Island South Shore for MLS, East End / RDP for Impact. And people from Laval just get left out.... maybe we throw them a CSL team? :p
But seriously love it. Any viability to the idea? I highly doubt it. But we can dream!
