Who says, God does not have a sense of humor.....

Appears the U20 kid, Gulan (http://www.tsv1860.de/de/aktuell/news/2008/news_2009-02-11_international.php), who was signed only last week picked up an injury in a needless U21 international and will be out at least three weeks. Reminder: He is on loan only until the summer. Lovely. Money well spent, huh?

Garry, this kid wasn't ever going to play a role for the 1st team anyhow.

He was just brought in to make the "Stevic Splash" bigger.

Now, 1860 is all wet....... ;)

No way....even though it is not a copyright infringement, people may get their knickers in a snit about it....dunno why though.

I wish I knew who did so I can give them their props!! Like Eddie said, comedy gold and what best is that it isn't far from the truth!!!
To be honest, I watched the interviews on eyeptv.de and the REAL ones were nearly as comical as the made-up ones.

Yeah, I know there are games today, but before I post anything footy-related, just had to post this. This was funnier than hell. DO NOT play this at the office or in front of kids. Let's just say the dialog was probably written by FootyFan given the number of times the f-word appears.:D Still VERY funny though.

Below is the line-up against Ahlen. I have put in some comments above the official line-up based on the last game.

Tschauner: Played decent last match but showing signs of being Patzerkoenig again. Let's hope he avoids that.
Rukavina: Have to say he played well. His overlaps on the right gave Mainz fits last week. Was able to get back into position fast too. With Johnson able to do that on the left it really opens up the attack.
Ghvinianidze: Had a decent match last week but missed a marking assignment or two. At 20 I forgive him for it.
Beda: Head in ass still....no evidence of it coming out soon.
Johnson: Kicker gave him a low rating last week and yet the announcers were calling his name all day. For my money he was a 3 or 2,5 last week. Kicker gave him a 4.
Schwarz: Danny was just slow and late all game. Not a coincidence that 1860 picked up when he went off.
Ledgerwood: Decent game from him last week. Strong in the middle on defense but not fast enough on the counter.
Aigner: Nice moves and caused problems for Mainz. Fast and innovative but could open things up more.
Biero: His usual fast and tenacious self.
Lauth: Good match from him. GREAT header for the draw.
Schaeffler: Nice to see him score. Still think the best is yet to come from him.
Rumor is Roesler is pissed at being on the bench. Honestly did not see much from him last week nor the week before. For a "playmaker" he is not. Berhalter came off the bench and played solid. Sad to see both Bender's out.

1860: 12 Tschauner - 2 Rukavina, 19 Ghvinianidze, 6 Beda, 33 Johnson - 8 D. Schwarz, 25 Ledgerwood - 15 Aigner, 7 Bierofka - 11 Lauth, 27 Schäffler.

Bench: 1 Hofmann (Tor) - 4 Hoffmann, 5 Berhalter, 10 Rösler, 13 Jungwirth, 14 Holebas, 16 Thorandt, 18 Pourie, 20 Burkhard, 26 Baumgartlinger.

Questionable: 17 S. Bender (leichte Gehirnerschütterung).

Not Available: 9 Di Salvo (Sehnenentzündung am Knie), 21 Schroth (Aufbautraining), 22 L. Bender (Lauftraining nach Muskelfaserriss), 23 B. Schwarz (Aufbautraining), 24 Gulan (Kapselverletzung am linken Sprunggelenk), 29 Krauss (3. TW).

Ahlen: 1 Langerbein - 2 Busch, 19 Döring, 20 Wiemann, 6 Maul - 13 Bäumer, 17 Heithölter, 29 Pelzer - 21 Großkreutz, 11 Toborg, 18 Reus.
Ersatz: 33 Lenz (Tor) - 5 Kittner, 9 Chitsulo, 14 Gibson, 16 Müller, 19 Döring, 24 Naki.

Not Available: 4 Miletic (Reha), 7 Stahlberg (Kreuzbandriss), 8 Thioune (Reha), 15 Djulbic (Reha), 22 Bölstler (nicht berücksichtigt), 23 di Gregorio (5. Gelbe Karte), 31 Book (Reha).

Schiedsrichter: Markus Wingenbach (Altendiez); Assistenten: Robert Kampka (Mainz), Markus Sinn (Filderstadt).

The keeper Lagerbein appears to have just 3 starts this season (rounds 3,4,19) with all three being wins for Ahlen.
Backline is missing di Gregorio and putting Wiemann (MF) in his place. Might be a chance to capitalize on a new player in a new position.
Toborg is the scoring leader with 12. He has scored 5 goals in their last 6 games. Seems to do well against weak teams with pourous defenses. Let's hope 1860 can corral him.
Ahlen has won 4 games and drawn 1 away this season. 1860 has only 3 home wins all season, 3 draws.
They have only 1 win since November 21st (similar to 1860).

Yeah, but unlike Sechzig, their win came LAST WEEK over Augsburg. ;)

BTW, no one had better injure Grosskreutz.

He's coming back to BVB next season! LOL!! :D

ROFL...yeah, there is a guy in total denial. You can read in his characterization of Reuter and Kurz a bit of sour grapes. Nice that he does not throw his mates under the bus, except to note that two players were drunk in the disco until 5am against Aachen (no names given). I bet the Kicker rating would tell us who that is. Sounds simply like he had a huge ego and was pissed no one fell over him telling him so. BUT, does raise the question about IF the rumors of partying are true, why Kurz did nothing.

On the Reuter controversy, just listen to Muenchen Mayor Christian Ude (http://www.eyep.tv/index.php?id=75&tx_ttnews[tt_news]=2780&cHash=3d053a0d50). They way he is talking, and mind you he is a politician and understating what is going on, makes it sound like a total cluster F. He actually quotes Uli Honess as saying that "a club should never sell their goals".

You want some REAL fun? Listen to these guys (http://www.eyep.tv/index.php?id=75&tx_ttnews[tt_news]=2779&cHash=1b015ff06e). Now, I know there are very few thatcan even understand they Bayrisch guys, but TRUST me, they see things like we do....that this whole "opera" by 1860 is just comical. The old guy in the middle makes a GREAT point toward the end of his interview: "It makes NO difference what the board does unless the lads on the field perform. THAT will bring investors! Who wants to invest in a flailing club?"

The last old guy makes another great point: Why didn't 1860 FIRST talk to the DFL about their investor idea and THEN announce it to the press? The fact that they did not just shows their inability to handle the business of football.

As knowledgeable as these fans sound, their take on how the whole debacle (Reuter, investors, player sales, player development, etc.) has been handled leaves a great deal to be desired. They really only understand one or two points but not the whole picture. Sad, very sad.

So, the big question is... Where do 1860 go from here in the short and/or long term?

Has there been any attempts by 1860 to get a replacement for Tschauner? They guy seems to go from disaster to disaster and brilliance to brilliance...

I enjoyed the second fan in the video the most. I have a spent a lot of time in Passau and the Niederbayerisch there, though different, allowed me to understand about %75 of what he said. Of course, knowing the subject he was talking about always helps. :)

ROFL...yeah he is a real connudrum. He can go 5 games looking like the next Adler and then pull patzers that make him look like the 4th string TW from an Oberliga side. Just makes you want to scratch your head.

On another note, am watching the 1860 game now. There was a terrible challenge on Aigner where the Ahlen player did a "kung fu" jump into him and took him down BIG TIME. NO FOUL called!!!!! The reply showed the referee evaluator in the stands just shaking his head. Would NOT want to be the ref after the match. Likely his last 2.BL match.
