And of course, Uli Hoeneß had to weigh in in TZ: "Mein Bauch sagt mir, dass das, was da zur Zeit passiert, der Anfang vom Ende von 1860 München ist..."
Gee thanks Uli, how nice of you to run the salt in the wound... And who really cares what his overly bloated stomach says.
Maybe he can call up his old buddy Beckenbauer and have a good chuckle over poor Sechzig.

The scary part of Hoeneß saying that he has a bad feeling about 1860 is that he is most commonly right. I hate to say it but he is one of the best managers in the game and has a feeling for what is going on in the game. This sell is iffy I wish we could have kept Reuter he has done a good job bringing in the right personal. Perhaps if he had fired Kurz he might have had a better chance of keeping his job. The fact that Reuter was still bringing in players while Beeck was talking to Stevic kind of makes this whole situation look really bad for the club.

As much as I hate Hoeness, and that's alot....I agree with what 1860 said....he is one of the best managers in the game and has insight into the shenanigans going on at 1860. He can read between the lines. He knows the investor landscape in Germany. He knows that when you throw out a good manager who has done what Reuter did and STILL talk about promotion, having not solidified how you are going to pay your CURRENT debts, means you have people in charge who have no clue (See US Congress and Bail Out for references).

Kurz may not be the right trainer, but there is no denying that his manner and methods in dealing with players are professional through and through. Just watch this interview (http://www.eyep.tv/index.php?id=75&tx_ttnews[tt_news]=2634&cHash=93b674f35f). Waht impressed me the most was persistent questions about how bad the team was, who was at fault, what needed to be done. Kurz response? He takes care of the "dirty laundry" in private and not in public, that everyone knows what they need to do and it does not need to be discussed with the media. My bet is the players really appreciate that.
They probably do appreciate it, but it means nothing if they won't go out and fight for the man to keep his job.

Totally agree with 1860 and LoewenBoy's comments about Hoeness' 1860 comments.
I think our man "russ99" just reacted a bit too emotionally.
I also don't have Uli Hoeness on my Christmas Card list, but I admire the man's work and believe he is arguably among the top three football managers in Europe and the world.
I think usually, Hoeness would not have addressed the situation or if asked would have said this was 1860's own affair.
However, for him to use such strong words about what he sees in this situation tells me a lot.
Trust me, if Hoeness wanted to destroy 1860, he could have done it a long time ago. Hoeness knows that Munich needs a strong 1860 and a strong 1860 also benefits Bayern.
I think he truly sees trouble here and is taking no pleasure in it.
Believe me, Uli Hoeness doesn't view 1860 the way many Bayern fans do. I'm not saying he "loves" 1860, but I don't think he "hates" 1860 the way some of you seem to think he does.
1860 has been off Bayern's immediate radar for so long, I don't see him wishing any "ill will" on Sechzig.
Nor was he kicking Sechzig while Sechzig is down. The man gave his honest opinion about the current situation.
Sure, I wish he would have said, "This could really work for Sechzig." But he didn't say that because he doesn't feel that way. He thinks Sechzig has made a grave mistake and he said so.
As long as the man wasn't taking pleasure in what he said, I don't see one thing wrong with what he said.
Shit. I happen to agree with him. :o

The right personal???? He brought in a selection of BL1 rejects (Lauth, Rösler, Aigner) and the likes of Beda. Stevic has already impressed with hiring young guns like Rukavina and Gulan. That's the way to do it!!!!
By the way Stevic has a likening for Lorant. Here we go......:D

Re/ Rejects: I seem to recall a rather successful 1860 side made up of BL rejects and has-beens. But, have you actually LOOKED at our side this season. It is not mostly rejects, it IS mostly young, talented kids. And THAT was BECAUSE of Reuter and Kurz. Shit man, give credit where due.
Re/Lorant: That speaks volumes.....and not in the right direction.

Don't know if I'll make it though. It will depend on what's going on around here.
But you'll be able to get tickets just about anywhere you want besides with the Ultras........

Dude, aren't you in a league full of BL1 rejects and BL1 never have beens and never will bes?
At least 1860 is full BL1 "probably will bes".
And I wouldn't rejoice so much over Rukavina and Gulan.
They got Rukavina because he couldn't get a game at BVB and BVB simply wanted to dump his salary.
I think that is the definition of "BL1 REJECT" yet, you praise Stevic for something you slammed Reuter for two sentences before?
That tells me all I need to know.........
BTW, I'll be surprised if you see Gulan anywhere but 1860 II.

"Ultras"?
I'm sorry. The very vocal fans who stand on either end of the pitch. I just put them all in a group.
Sadly, on many occasions, they are more entertaining than the team on the pitch.
They are great fans.
In my case, I'm a proud "sitzplatz schewin." (Seating area pig)
I normally sit in sections 120 or 121 for day/good day weather matches/when my girlfriend is with me and 101-106 for night or bad weather matches.
They are the sections right next to the field and at the center.
I prefer sitting on the 101-106 side because in 102-105, for some matches, you can actually hear the yelling and coaching going on from the dugouts. 103 and 104 kind of suck for that because they are right above the dugouts. 102 is the one next to the Sechzig dugout, but I like 105 best. It's next to the visitors dugout and there, you usually get a good mixture of Sechzig fans and visiting fans.
But after the match, 102 is the best one to try to get Sechzig players to come over to.
In your case, unless you want to stand with the vocal fans (if there are even tickets available with them) and you're willing to spend Euro 31,50 for the ticket, I'd suggest 102 for that match.
I usually try to get my seats in any of those sections between rows 6 and 10. They are just high enough to see over the obstacles at pitch level, but not so high that you cannot hear what is going on.

Don't know if this was discussed already, but apparently, Lothar Matthäus would like to become the next 1860 coach. :D

Dude, that article is nothing more than Mattheaus trying to kiss ass enough to get a shot at the job, which he probably won't get.
As far as Garry goes, he will tell you whether I'm right or not when I say these two things:
1) If you thought the fans would go ballistic if they hire Augenthaler, multiply that rage by ten and you'll have what will happen if 1860 hires the village idiot "Loddar" Mattheaus. I predict Garry would seriously consider turning in his "Urkunde" then.
2) Garry believes, and I agree with him, that bringing back Werner Lorant would just expedite 1860's demise. But I think Garry would rather have Lorant back than see "Loddar" on the 1860 coach's bench........
I really believe if any ex-Bayern star is considered for this job, it will be Augenthaler and only Augenthaler.
Seeing how these guys back-stabbed Reuter, I wouldn't be surprised if Augenthaler's training gear is already made and waiting for his first training session next week.
