SpVgg Greuther Fürth - 1860 München 22.3.09 Video - Katerle1302 - MyVideo (http://www.myvideo.de/watch/6168355/SpVgg_Greuther_Fuerth_1860_Muenchen_22_3_09)
Great video Uwe. You see how pissed I am at Hofmann? ANYONE who has played above high school level knows that you NEVER give up a ball in the hand when setting up for a standard unless the referee takes it from you. You can never have two balls on the pitch as the same time.

Well executed by Fuerth for two reasons: 1) great reaction by the guy near Hofmann to get him to play the ball out, and 2) great quick kick. I will BET that Wolf makes damn sure NO ONE at 1806 does THAT again.

You can believe me that Hofmann ("der Franke") wouldn't have saved that shot even if he had been fully concentrated. ;)

Btw: There weren't 2 balls on the pitch at the same time. Firstly, Allagui kicked the one ball off the pitch, then Haas passed the other one to Sararer.

I attended the final Fürth training before the game ... and noticed that they trained exactly this situation. ;) However, I didn't know that Sararer can shoot that well (normally, the Fürth specialists for such things are Haas, Takyi & Burkhardt)...

Yeah, that was my point....classy bit of thinking from Allaqui to get the ball from Hofmann and get it out of play quickly. Allagui knew that if a quick kick was taken it would all have to go back because Hoffman was holding the original ball. Get that ball of the pitch and you are in business. Hoffman should have realized that and held on tot he damn thing. Hell, they actually TAUGHT us that in academy.

Taking nothing away from that shot...it was a beauty!!!!

Thanks for sharing the video. I never get to watch 2 Bundesliga games over here and these links you provide are a real treat. I always make a point to watch a 2 Liga game (sometimes 2) when on longer trips during the season. Sometimes these games have more passion in them since playing for promotion can mean so much.
I really need to know how I can watch these games on a given Saturday or Sunday without spending an arm and leg to get ZDF or ARD into my package.

Thanks again . ..:D

Dude, Loewen TV....$40 gets you all the games on the net.

Side Note: Where are you in DC? Used to live in Burke for years. Played in NVSL to pass the time. :D

Four PKs in the first 27 mins...then 1860 scored 3 more.

All the 1860 games, that is...... ;)

Garry, do you know if anyone has tried the Premiere internet TV service from there in the USA?

If I think of it later, I may try to check to see if you can get it outside Germany, but AFAIK, they broadcast all 1BL, 2BL, DFB Pokal and CL matches.

No one. From their website it seems you can get it outside Germany but that it costs 3 Euros per event. The verbaiage on the website makes it SOUND like you can get a monthly contract but, as always with Premiere, it is impossible to determine what a monthly cost is.

That always pissed me off when I lived there. Many TV companies were conveniently unclear about what or how you get their service. Seems the case here. If the DO have a monthly package via the net, I'd get it in a heartbeat.

And remind me again, but the matches you get to see are tape-delayed, correct? That would probably work out better for my schedule, really.

Yes, 15 delayed. So you get the stream 15 mins after the match ends. It comes in 15 min stream chunks (i.e. 0-15 min, 16-30 min, 31-45 min, etc). It stays up all season. Quality is fantastic. Stream works great (I have cable, not sure what it looks like on DSL).

I like it because I can take my Sunday at my own pace. Wake up early and watch the first half. If I get interrupted by the kids or wife, I can pause and come back. The only down side is I have to stay away from the usual websites to avoid seeing the score inadvertantly.

AND you support the club by getting the service!

I know TOLH or DF will be through here soon to shut us down and move to a new thread, so to beat them to it, here it is (http://www.bigsoccer.com/forum/showthread.php?p=17286219#post17286219).

Olde Towne Alexandria, three blocks Sud auf Koenigstrasse across from St. Mary's and the Old Presb. Meeting House.

I play NVSL O-40 League (Sunday/Thursday-nine game schedule) and NOVA-CL on Saturdays (every weekend, year-round). We are playing at Wakefield Park (near Burke) this weekend. Turned the field to the artificial graas after elevating it. No more swamp. Most of the fields have been switched over by Fairfax County.

Thanks for the lead on Loewen BL 2 matches. :)
