A Trojan horse so to say...

Seems Czech player Trojan (http://www.transfermarkt.de/de/news/26100/trojan-verlaesst-den-fc-st-pauli.html) will not extend with St. Pauli and is free right now. The rumor is that the Back-stabbing Bastard Stevic is trying to use his Czechness to get Trojan to sign with 1860.

If true he would be a decent replacement for Schwarz, though the guy's stats (http://www.fussballdaten.de/spieler/trojanfilip/) ain't stella, he is faily solid and only 26.

Stevic has "Czechness?" I thought he's Serbian?? :D

But I agree Trojan would be a good pick-up for Sechzig.

Mom is Czech, no? What I heard, maybe not.

Honestly only seen him play against Sechzig but always liked his play. Seemed he had a heart.

I remember seeing Trojan play with Schalke and Bochum. He always struck me as not very talented, but works his a$$ off.

So, in other words, perfect as a replacement for Danny Schwarz.:p

Decent article on bundesliga.de (http://www.bundesliga.de/de/liga2/news/2008/index.php?f=0000121449.php&fla=4) about Wolf. Mostly rehash of the stuff over the last few weeks. I hate to say this, but articles like this usually jinx this team....if you beleive in that stuff.:D

More on Trojan (http://www.kicker.de/news/fussball/2bundesliga/startseite/artikel/505598/). New rumor is he is in talks with SCF and Mainz. Wants to play in the 1.BL to get on the Czech team for the WM.

The probable line ups. Wolf does not seem to switch at the last minute like Kurz. I hope to God Brieda has a decent game and actually earns his money. This is no light team, they have experience on the field and will bit us if we do nto finish. My biggest fear with this team is we lost on a Sonntagschuss in the last minute. This team is on a tear right now...they were in the basement at the break and have fought back HARD! They have taken 17 points from their last 8 games!!!! They beat FCK, Pauli and Ahlen (all home matches) and have draw with the likes of Ingolstadt (when they were hot) and Fuerth on the road.

Wolf undoubtedly knows ALL of this and will have the Jungs reved up for this one. They MUST win this to keep confidence up and avoid the drama of the past few weeks returning. Shutting down the Mokhtari's will be key! Lineups below....

1860: 1 Hofmann - 2 Rukavina, 16 Thorandt, 4 Hoffmann, 3 Schick - 6 Beda, 22 L. Bender - 15 Aigner, 33 Johnson - 11 Lauth, 27 Schäffler.

Ersatz: 12 Tschauner (Tor) - 5 Berhalter, 8 D. Schwarz, 10 Rösler, 13 Jungwirth, 14 Holebas, 17 S. Bender, 18 Pourie, 19 Ghvinianidze, 20 Burkhard, 23 B. Schwarz, 24 Gulan, 25 Ledgerwood.

Nicht dabei: 7 Bierofka (Schambeinentzündung), 9 Di Salvo (Sehnenentzündung am Knie), 21 Schroth (Aufbautraining), 26 Baumgartlinger (Grippe), 29 Krauss (3. TW).

FSV: 1 Klandt - 14 Weißenfeldt, 3 Klitzpera, 4 Husterer, 33 Noll - 8 Mehic, 36 Y. Mokhtari - 26 O. Mokhtari, 28 Kreuz - 9 Cenci, 27 Bliznyuk.

Ersatz: 25 Petkovic (Tor) - 2 Schumann, 15 Spilacek, 18 Mikolajczak, 20 Shapourzadeh, 24 Barletta, 35 Ledesma, 37 Junior Ross, 38 Ulm.

Nicht dabei: 11 Bencik (Aufbautraining), 5 Hillebrand, 6 Sobotzik, 7 Hagner, 10 Theodoridis, 13 Como, 16 El Haj Ali, 17 Hickl, 21 Höfler, 22 Gallego, 23 Theodosiadis, 30 Eggert (alle nicht im Kader).

Schiedsrichter: Thomas Frank (Hannover); Assistenten: Thorsten Joerend (Leipzig), Martin Bärmann (Lübbecke).

I got this year's jersey for a present so I will try to wear it tomorrow (I am also off work). This coupled with goingdownsouth's presence means that 1860 cannot lose (that and its a home game they should win)!

BTW, I like the new offensive production. It seems that they are producing more chances and also converting. But, I am worried about the defense. I have faith in Wolf's scheme getting chances (and want it to continue) but am nervous about the goals we have been giving up.

Wolf gave a pre-game interview (http://www.eyep.tv/beitrag/2-bundesliga/video/wenn-loewen-und-woelfe-blut-lecken-12.html) on eyep-tv.de which I have translated excerpts from below....

Q: Who is not available from the Kader?

A: DiSalvo, Schroth, Bierofka and Baumgartliner (sick)

Q: Will there be any changes from the line-up against Ingolstadt?

A: That's my secret.

Q: What is the goal of the team from this match?

A: To win. Simply to win. We are Sechzig! We are playing at home! Home games mean home wins!!

Q: But don't you approach each game differently?

A: I am always looking forward. We want to have 35 points tomorrow. We need simply to win. We owe that to our fans. Nothing else matter...whether it snows, rains or the sun shines. We need to bring our best game and win. Then and only then will the energy from the team leap off the field and infect our fans. We owe that to them.

Q: But what if....(inaudible)....

A: Look....we will win! We will win!!!! We are Sechzig. We are winners!!! Look, the boys are hungry, they have the will-power of a winner. This is destiny. They want to win. Hard work from the first kick to the last. This is a "blue-collar" club, we are workers....we must work, work, work, work!!!!

Q: Do you analyze the other teams?

A: Of course! Every team has a weakness and we will exploit that weakness.

Q: Aren't you concerned that this team, which has beaten FCK and other good teams, is coming to you hot at the moment?

A: St. Pauli ALSO beat FCK 2-0. Clearly this is a team that has their back to the wall. They are only 3 points clear of a relegation spot. We have respect for them. BUT...we have a home game. And we are Sechzig! Excuse me, but I think from FSV probably 100 fans will be coming. WE are playing at home, in our own stadium, in front of our own fans....what is better? Friday evening, we win three points....simple as that....great weekend!

Q: Regarding your conduct last week at being dismissed to the Tribuene, what do you think the result of the DFB investigation will be?

A: I understand that the DFB is reviewing the tapes. I understand that there are rules and that rules must be obeyed. But also I am here to protect my players and to stand up for them. I won't comment on this anymore. My concentration is on the FSV match. (long pause) From the DFB we have seen the referee report and we have given our response. We will hear at the latest on Monday the decision of the DFB. But everyone at the DFB is my friend.....many good wishes to Frankfurt.:D

Q: Are there things going on in the locker room you want to discuss?

No. What is said there is internal and stays there. I do not talk about things that go on their with anyone not privvy to such discussions and I expect my players to do the same....and the will and they have.

Q: Can you articulate the general mood of the team?

A: We are lions! We have tasted blood. When we taste blood we get hungry, we must eat!!! And that we will do.

Q: People are comparing you to Werner Lorant....

A: Please! I am flattered to be compared to him but let me have the years of success he has had. If after 20 years here I have had his type of success then we can talk.

If you get the chance watch the videos of the conference. His body language and tone say it all. Just watching him sit there and say, "Look, we are Sechzig.....we will win!" was AMAZING. This guy only played for 18 months at 1860 as a player, and yet, this guy bleeds weiss/blau MORE than 99% of the board and fans I know. How? Through his ACTIONS!!!!

I missed the one quote where a reporter asked him how he could spend so much time working on coaching (reportedly 12 hours/day). His response: "I am ludky that my wife and kids live a breath football like I do. Having a family that supports you 100% is just as important as having a president and sporting director that support you 100%. Without that you cannot be successful in this job." I mean, how freaking cool is that? Taking a pot shot (again) at the board wrapped in a positive complement about his family?!?!? LOVE IT!!!!!

Part 1 (http://www.eyep.tv/beitrag/2-bundesliga/video/wenn-loewen-und-woelfe-blut-lecken-12.html), Part 2 (http://www.eyep.tv/beitrag/2-bundesliga/video/wenn-loewen-und-woelfe-blut-lecken-22.html) & Highlights (http://www.eyep.tv/beitrag/2-bundesliga/video/best-of-uwe-wolf.html).

Even if you don't speak German, just watching this guy you will see he IS the real deal. I liked Kurz alot, but I am really liking Uwe. I think you have to have an attitude.

Check THIS out: It appears that to keep busy instead of SUPPORTING their club in constructive ways...such as attending games, let's say.... some Loewen fans are starting an "action". What is an "action" you say? Picture 50 or so lazy people sitting around a bier hall somewhere pretending to know what they are talking about and coming up with lame-ass ideas like, say, alchemy. This is eerily familiar to the same "artistic" mentality that brought you great ideas like, oh, I don't know....fascism? However, THIS great idea is to spend EVEN MORE money on upgrades to a stadium that is so old and decrepit, it makes the Colosseum in Rome look like a modern condo in San Francisco.

Just maybe, if we sell enough players, wish on a few more stars and pet a few more unicorns, all our dreams will come true. These are the same f#cking fans that are too cheap to go to the game (http://www.loewenfreun.de/loewenforum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=17405) AND too cheap to sign up for the LoewenTV to support their team and prefer to bootleg their game watching on justinTV. Now THAT'S support for ya.
