Probably my last chance to post here before I depart for Bavaria. Thanks for all of the insight and tips. I am sure I will have a great time. I will do my best to cheer on our Löwen to victory against FSV Frankfurt...

Bis gleich.

Cool. Would like to find a way to catch you if I'm up in Munich for that match.

No surprises in the announced line-up. Wolf is dancing with who brung him. I expect Schick to have a better performance as I suspect he was scared shitless and very nervous playing in front of the home fans.

FCI: 1 Lutz - 4 M. Schwarz, 33 Aygün, 17 Neunaber, 3 Gerber - 8 Karl - 16 Buchner, 6 Leitl, 27 Rama - 23 Wohlfarth, 9 Lokvenc.

Bench: 21 Sejna (Tor) - 5 Dreßler, 7 Demir, 10 D. Jungwirth, 11 Neuendorf , 13 Wenczel, 15 Fink, 19 Metzelder, 20 Keidel, 22 Lemos, 25 Braganca, 26 Buch, 30 Reinhard, 34 Santini.

Not Available: 14 Dallevedove (nicht berücksichtigt), 18 Hagmann (Bauchmuskelanriss).

1860: 1 Hofmann - 2 Rukavina, 16 Thorandt, 4 Hoffmann, 3 Schick - 6 Beda, 22 L. Bender - 15 Aigner, 33 Johnson - 11 Lauth, 27 Schäffler.

Bench: 12 Tschauner (Tor) - 5 Berhalter, 10 Rösler, 13 Jungwirth, 14 Holebas, 17 S. Bender, 18 Pourie, 20 Burkhard, 24 Gulan, 25 Ledgerwood, 26 Baumgartlinger.

Not Available: 7 Bierofka (inflammation of the pubic bone), 8 D. Schwarz (muscle rupture), 9 Di Salvo (tendonitis am Knie), 19 Ghvinianidze (corpusel and partial tear of the anterior ligaments of right ankle), 21 Schroth (paid holiday), 23 B. Schwarz (Knieprobleme), 29 Krauss (3. TW).
LB NOTE: Ghivinianidze is done for the season IMHO. An ankle ligament tear does not heal fast and this is not the first injury issue he has had this year.

A couple of MISC-24 places come up... Conveniently enough, right in the Tal/Isartorplatz area.

Yeah. You have to watch it with the hotels. Most have WLAN service, but they charge an arm and a leg.......

Yeah, I mean, I will pay a couple of Euros, but hell don't rob me. A place that lets you call long distance may be a help as well.

Plenty of Turkish places for that. But you can find good deals on the internet too. I use a service called "Solaris" at www.comfi.com.

There is a local Munich access number. You buy minutes at the site, call that number, give it your PIN and call just about wherever you want.

It is 2.5 U.S. cents a minute calling back to the USA using Solaris when you use a local access number.

Its from the hit show, The Office. Cult figure, Dwight Schrute has shunned his nemesis, Andy Bernard.

NBC.com - funny stuff.

Might be catching this conversation to late. I'm a big fan of the IBIS hotel chain. Very comfortable and consistent (clean, roomy, great food for hotel and decent nightcap pub) wherever and whenever I travel in Europe. Pricing varies by city and distance to business districts.

I know there is one (or several) located in every major and mid-size city in Germany. Have complete and free or moderate fee WIFI internet access available when I last traveled there. And stayed at three different cities.

I beleive the IBIS location near the new Muenchen Flugghafen is also accessable to the AllianzArena should you be catching a game while there. Loewenboy is likely to know better since the airport wasn't finished and Bayern was still playing at the Olympicstadion when I last saw them.

I can't wait to get back there with my family in tow so I can show my wife (she's 13 years my junior and never been) and daughter (never been either). I want to take them in late August so it would not affect my daugher's school schedule and allow us to see a game or two (3-4) during a 10-14 dy visit.

Ah, the issues of family and travel in the world we live in. :o

Now that the exchange rate with the Euro is getting acceptable, travel to Eorope is becoming more reasonable. Problem is, we are all working are arses off to keep our jobs since the office has seen large cut-backs (like all professional services have)and we are all carrying a greater productivity demand.:(

Cheers . . . Woody
