Is this really possible? Is that how it works?
Yes its possible, but I don't see it happening right yet. If a no confidence vote comes it will be in the fall. They usually give the mgmt the summer to see what they can do. If the fall turns out to be a muddled mess, these guys are out.
LoewenBoy-
It is getting heated when you have such issues and front office management is always the primary woe when a relegation battle is looming.
It is our annual spring thing we do.
I'll fade away and let those that know the most discuss this. I'm way to far removed to have an opinion here. But it is fun watching the flying prose. . .
Actually you're not so far removed. Basically watch eyep-tv and you will get the gist. Its a real 90210 over there right now. Drama queens the lot.
I'll keep track and chime in when I get to understand the situation better.

BTW-answered your questions on the other thread. Let's discuss as I ended conversation. Should be fun!
I'll catch up via the method suggested and talk to a couple ex-teammates living in Offenbach, Oberhausen and Berghausen. Sounds pretty wacky. Then again, they always had some unique "characters" at the office.
Could be worse . . . there is always the drag queen at St. Pauli:D to make us feel good about things. Then again, who wouldn't want to play in a packed Millentor vs a 3/4 empty AllianzArena!
Plus, being out in Hamburg and St. Pauli area is one heck of a lot of fun if your side wins the match and the gaffer lets you party overnight! Just make sure you do a "bait and tackle check" before taking one of the girls home from the nearby clubs! That trick got me out of an embarrasing situation once in my life.
cheers . . . Woody

I can feel the love here... I am two weeks away from my first-ever BL match of any kind and the mood here is AMAZING.
*sigh*
Still, I will do my best to enjoy it.

Below is the probable line up. If this is what he goes with a few substantial changes here:
Hofman in goal will be interesting to see. He has not played since last May so not sure what form he is in.
Thorandt and Hoffmann are in central d. Both are decent in the air but slower than a 4 cylinder Mini head-2-head.
Schick is a U23 defender who was a Wolf favorite when he was there. This will be his first start. He is no Benny Schwarz, but he does not suck either. Replaces Johnson on the flank who is moved to left outside mid...a good move IMHO.
Beda back in central defensive mid where he belongs. Last back too, so hope that helps!
Roesler has got to have his ego hurting that he is not starting, but that's life.
1860: 1 Hofmann - 2 Rukavina, 16 Thorandt, 4 Hoffmann, 3 Schick - 6 Beda, 22 L. Bender - 15 Aigner, 33 Johnson - 11 Lauth, 27 Schäffler.
Bench: 12 Tschauner (Tor) - 5 Berhalter, 10 Rösler, 13 Jungwirth, 14 Holebas, 17 S. Bender, 18 Pourie, 20 Burkhard, 25 Ledgerwood, 26 Baumgartlinger.
Questionable: 7 Bierofka (But muscle problem from getting kneed in the thigh last match and the ref not carding the f#cker), 23 B. Schwarz (rehab on knee), 24 Gulan (that time of the month).
Not Available: 8 D. Schwarz (Old Age), 9 Di Salvo (Stupidity), 19 Ghvinianidze (Too young to be this consistently injured), 21 Schroth (Pad sabbatical), 29 Krauss (second team duty).
St. Pauli: 25 Hain - 24 Rothenbach, 14 Eger, 11 Gunesch, 32 Drobo-Ampem - 17 Boll, 12 Schultz - 8 Bruns, 18 Ludwig, 6 Trojan - 26 Sako.
Ersatz: 1 Borger, 31 Pliquett (beide Tor) - 2 Lechner, 4 Morena, 5 Brunnemann, 7 Hennings, 9 Schnitzler, 16 Ebbers, 23 Hoilett, 28 Sismanoglu, 30 Daube.
Nicht dabei: 3 Gouiffe à Goufan (Meniskus-OP), 10 Meggle (Erkältung), 13 Weigelt (Muskelfaserriss), 19 Browarczyk (nicht berücksichtigt), 22 Biermann (Schulter-OP), 27 Kalla (Muskelfaserriss), 29 Zekiri (nicht berücksichtigt).
Schiedsrichter: Wolfgang Walz (Pfedelbach); Assistenten: Thorsten Schiffner (Konstanz), Michael Karle (Waiblingen).

10 days. I will be flying into Munich, but will train it to a few other cities for some book-reading, relaxing, and perhaps some Bier drinking. Freising, Andechs, Aying, and a couple other places come to mind.

Flights are shockingly cheap right now.
My toughest decision, right now, is deciding whether to go with travelers checks or ATM withdraws.

ATM and credit cards.
I'd love to go over, but its out of the cards right now.

Feising and Andechs are a short S-Bahn ride from Marienplatz. Though there is a decent hike on either end from the Hbf to the good bier drinking places. Check MVV before you go and download the time tables to your smart phone.

Dude, when are you traveling? 1973?:D
Traveler checks will be scoffed at and likely not accepted. ATMs are everywhere and you are likely to get a better exchange using them. Use credit cards when you can because it delays the billing to your account to later in the month AND the exchange rate will likely go down over the next few months anyway. NEVER exchange money BEFORE you go and NEVER do it at train stations or ecahnge cambios. Use ATMs and you get better rates. Exchange or use ATMs at banks whenever possible as their rates are better than at the airport. But seriously, just about any device for transportation takes credit cards.

So, those who do not live and breath 1860 may be wondering: "Certainly if the club is in financial dire straits, the fan clubs would be getting behind the team - especially after the bane of their existence (Reuter and Kurz) have been fired - one would think, no?"
Well, LOGICALLY that makes sense, but we are talking 1860 fans. Here is a lovely excerpt posted on one of the German boards. The names have been changed to protect the stupid.
Klaus: I have a dilemma and need some serious feedback... A nice friend of mine has asked me yesterday if I would like one of his tickets for the game Sunday. Actually, he's a nice guy and I would be reluctant to disappoint him, but then I would have to abandon my Allianz Arena boycott. I do not want to offend the fan groups boycotting the AA. Opinions?
Werner: Why go? IF we boycott the club they will see that we mean business and they will HAVE to leave the AA. Then and only then will we be free!!!
Clearly evident here are two morons: The first is asking a group of other morons what he should do when faced with a free ticket to a football match for a team he purports to love. Second, we see another moron offering his profound view on the business of football and his goals for the financial stability of the club.
Surrounded by a brain-trust like that, GoingSouth is going to have his work cut out for him. Shit, bro, you should be able to find a seat no problem in the "fan" section with idiots like that staying at home!!!

I am staying on Bayerstr. and Augustiner Keller is within spitting distance. That sounds like as good a place as any for my first halb Hend'l und Mass.

No time to translate, but suffice to say I think Wolf is showing 1860 (http://www.eyep.tv/beitrag/2-bundesliga/video/wo-rauch-ist-ist-auch-feuer-12.html) management and the press that they won't kick him around. I LOVE his style. When asked if he answers to Stevic he said: "I communicate with him. That is far different than 'answering' to him. I am responsible for the team and, therefore must 'answer' for the performance of the team. However, I select the players and the team. If he wants to do that he should find another trainer."
:eek::cool:;)
Freak'n LOVE it!!!!!

Dude, you live there...tell me you don't see this mentality on a dialy basis.
It used to surprise me, I know it does not really surprise you. Its almost like that Monty Python episode where if you pretend not to see the 80ft tall monster, he pretends he cannot see you and thus won't eat you...though he can see you just fine.

Watching the last 15 mins now. While 1860 is playing strong, must say that Pauli are really playing like Sechzig did at MSV last week. Two of the goals were pretty weak (think Bayern against Sporting) but if the Bayern fans can celebrate that like the Second Coming, so will I!!!!!;)
Could have actually been 6 or 7 -1 but Lauth, Johnson and Schaeffler "verspielt" a few chances. Were a few fouls which may have in a closer match been called for PKs but were questionable at best. Was nice to see the first goal celebrate....Lars Bender went over to Wolf and you could see the emotion (and relief) on everyone's face.

Garry, I haven't watched the match. I was on the road yesterday.
But is it fair to say from your comments that 1860 gave a "spirited" performance while Pauli may not have been "all there?"
Your comments look exactly like what my friend Willie told me about Bayern-Sporting. That Bayern looked "spirited", but the final margin of victory was "flattering" because after a few unfortunate scenes from their point of view, Sporting pretty much gave up.
That said, I'm still HAPPY to see such a victory at the AA. I'm sorry I didn't make it to enjoy the party.
However, like their good showing in Mainz to start the Rueckrunde, let's see if they keep it up.
BTW Garry, yes, I'm hoping you're right about Schaeffler. He seems to be coming around.
