Who's to say where Sechzig will be in three years??? Do you really think LD will want to play in the Regionalliga Sud???
LOL....yeah, my thoughts exactly!!!
And I doubt this management has any intention of keeping Gregg around after this season.
Sad to say, but yes, I agree. I think Gregg would have made a good youth trainer. Honestly, my bet is GB is looking at the f#cks in charge right now and saying "no way would I want to stay here under ANY circumstances".
Yeah, Berhalter could be a co-trainer in three years. More likely in Cottbus than at Sechzig though.........
Dude, he played there but doubt he would move is family there. I mean, Cottbus versus Muenchen?
As far as the "D-word" goes, I think any "possibility" he'll be at Sechzig in three years is pure crack pipe fantasy. I think it was diabolical of DF to even bring that f#ckin' name up here! LOL!! :p :D
Yeah, LD would rather MLS than anything below 1.BL.
So let's see how many offers he gets from all those other teams that are "after" him. Shit, if he is going now is the time. My bet is he is back in MLs for good and the YA faithful will be making even more excuses as to why he is not playing overseas. Honestly, would like to see him make SOME team over here. At very least it would put to bed the debate on can he or can't he play in Europe.....at least for me.

Trust me. I think we know some of the same things we aren't saying......

It isn't "Cottbus versus Muenchen" if Muenchen isn't an option, is it???

Exactly. And no one in Germany is going to pay what MLS wants for him.

Dude, you know what the YA excuse will be for his having to go back. They will claim it was the diabolical (Damn, have used that word twice today!) "American Bias!"
The debate on whether LD can or can't play in Europe has already been put to bed for me. I think he can. Just in what I've seen of him with Bayern, I know he could play for most other clubs here.
Just not Bayern.........

According to this Kicker article (http://www.kicker.de/news/fussball/2bundesliga/startseite/artikel/505068), Wolf is going with Hofmann in goal against St. Pauli.
Wow..........

Doesn't suprise me. Tschauner is a solist. He wants to shine. Can't organise defense. Michi is solid. Better eye for the situation. Well done, Wolf.

[WARNING: RANT BELOW]
They don't know what they are doing. Their actions are a window to their incompetence.
I fear not. My chief concern is that these guys will be soooo budy playing football back office that they will not reduce their operating deficit, will continue to increase their debt (currently at 3m Euros), and their ability to get a pro license will come into question. I don't think it will happen until Feb 2010 in terms of being in peril of losing the license. But performance-wise, they do not get they are creating a poison atmosphere where young players will not want to be and older players will simply say "f#ck it, I retire".
Man just move on. Give the new guys some credit.
To be honest I was waiting for people who move quickly. By Feb 2010 we will be in a promotion spot, AA will be bursting to capacity in every game. Just wait and see.

I have been hard on Tschauner in the past, but the MSV loss was hardly his fault. And the number of real patzers he has made have been very, very few. BUT....I never really thought he was convincing enough to win first slot. Perhaps that is why Krauss was in practice this week. Maybe pressure is being mounted to use Krauss OR Wolf just thinks Tschauner has run his course and needs lagering.;)

Exactly what credit should I give them?
The fact that the back-stabbed Reuter? Kurz? The fact that Stevic is a lying sack of shit who does not have the balls or decency to fire a guy fact-to-face?
What have Stoffer and Stevic done to "give credit" to? Are there new investors? No! Is there more money? No! Is operational debt reduced? No, it has INCREASED!
Please, tell me why I should give them credit. What credit do YOU give them? Honestly, what have they done to derserve ANY praise?

Could not let this comment lie. While I like the sentiment, just HOW has the current management outlined how this will be done? We have a $3m/year operational deficit and we have no new investment income. In fact, we have lost your hauptsponsor. Where is the magic going to take place? By alchemy? If you know please tell me because I ahve missed it in all the excuses and platitudes the current management has been spewing.

I love the idea of promotion and such. But outside of Reuter's deficit reduction plans, I have never seen anything from the current management on how we are going to do ANYTHING. They talk about investors but none arise. They talk about promotion, but do not outline how we will reach financial stability to allow us to 1) buy players, and 2) to get coaches who can take us there. No more discussions or info on contract restructuring with AA. No more information on our financials. Nada, zip, zero, null. THAT scares me more than anything.

Dude, we know what they're going. Telling the fan base what it wants to hear and hoping the shit happens.
At least Reuter had the balls to make the tough decisions that had to be made to insure this club's future.
All the current nutjobs are offering are bullshit delusions of grandeur which it seems at least some of the fan base is willing to eat and beg for more.
What does it say that the person they thought would be their major investor said himself, "Show me how you are going to work out these current problems and then we can talk about the deal......."

Good point....I forgot to bring that up. Yes, his interview was telling. One would think after the Back-Stabbing Bastard Stevic's investor failing through that people would be treating him differently. But no....there is little on the German boards of people wondering what happened and why it was mucked up so badly.
Honestly, Lionhead, if you are still around what have you heard about plans to make 2010 happen?
And regarding articles, here is another (http://www.kicker.de/news/fussball/2bundesliga/startseite/artikel/505021/) on the whole Wolf issue. Basically the article talks about possible candidates for the coaching role and how Wolf is likely not the guy for the job simply because he does not have "a name". Mentioned for the job are Thomas Doll, Klaus Toppmoeller and Ryszard Komornicki. Who? You might say? He's coach of a mid-table Swiss club. Now THAT's a name, huh?
It further mentions that the club is further burdened with the salaries of Kurz, Reuter and Gorenzel-Simonitsch in excess of 750,000 Euros through 2010. Nice work board.

Wow, just when I thought things couldn't get worse, they do something as brainless as this.
I just hope the players can keep it together and stay out of the drop zone, since in September I expect the club membership to make drastic changes at the annual meeting and sweep out this bumbling regime.

I don't see club membership doing squat.
If they were going to, I think there would be movements already.

LoewenBoy-
Your right. It is getting heated when you have such issues and front office management is always the primary woe when a relegation battle is looming. Things weren't as complicated and money was not the central theme as it is in today's Fussballwelt when some of us played.
I'll fade away and let those that know the most discuss this. I'm way to far removed to have an opinion here. But it is fun watching the flying prose. . .
I'll keep track and chime in when I get to understand the situation better. There are some friends I need to talk to first and lot's of businees issues to complete prior to 1800 Uhr.
Cheers . . Woody
