More on the PK. Where you expect to see the name "Micki Stevic", I will take a page from FF1 and you will now see the words "The Back-Stabbing Bastard" Stevic. Where you would expect to the name "Manfred Stoffers" you will see the words "Herman-Munster Looking Douchebag"

I can fully understand you......

Micki "The Back-Stabbing Bastard" Stevic: I was excited to down the path with Marco Kurz. Unfortunately, because of the lethargic combined performace [in Duisburg] we need to set a precidence.

"Set a precedent?" By firing the coach because of a "lethargic performance?" As we would say back in North Philly, "Mother f#cker please!" Does he really think people are stupid?

OK, parts of the Sechzig fan base aren't the most intelligent, but even they should be able to see that these bastards didn't have the courage to fire Kurz from the start, so they were waiting for one bad performance to do it.

Stevic may be the coach/"team chief" before all is said and done.

Manfred "Herman-Munster Looking Douchebag" Stoffers: Of Kurz he says... "The reason for our action is clear and you can see it in our table position."

I would love to ask him, "Really? Who do you have who can do better with this patchwork team you have? Because Herm, if you're going to fire a coach, you'd better make damned sure the next guy is better........"

Micki "The Back-Stabbing Bastard" Stevic: "Uwe Wolf is the best solution after the firing of Marco Kurz.

This screams to me: "We don't have a f#cking clue of where to go from here, but we didn't want Reuter's coach here any longer......"

Micki "The Back-Stabbing Bastard" Stevic: Now the players will be held responsible. We have taken away their alibi. Excuses are gone. Now the players must show that they are better than their actual table position Simply to put on the uniform will not do.

The players could have been held responsible without firing Kurz. It is simple. You hold a press conference in which you back the coach and you tell the players, "Grow up. This man is your coach, what he says goes and he has our complete backing."

I know what the players will use as an excuse now. "How can we fully concentrate when we don't know if we'll have jobs next season??"

Micki "The Back-Stabbing Bastard" Stevic:Because of this lethargic showing in Duisburg we have lost at minimum 10,000 spectators for St. Pauli. I want more spectators, but we have to offer more."

I agree with him on the part where he says they have to offer more to the fans, but for him to say "we lost a minimum of 10,000 fans for St. Pauli" is just f#cking ridiculous.

Any fan who really believes that shit is STUPID! No bones about it. If you really believe that shit, you are STUPID!

Manfred "Herman-Munster Looking Douchebag" Stoffers: "I have said ice cold, 'Either change the numbers or change the heads".

And how does he plan to do that? Will he step down and bring Reuter back??

[LB Comment: With great minds like this running 1860, there is no doubt that we will be the best, kick-ass club in the 3.BL within 18 months....mark my words.]

Will they get a 3rd BL license Garry? :(

[WARNING: RANT BELOW]

Damn.....I cannot rep you for this post, but DAMN you hit the nail on the head. For me to comment is almost sacrilege, but I will attempt...

"Set a precedent?" By firing the coach because of a "lethargic performance?" As we would say back in North Philly, "Mother f#cker please!" Does he really think people are stupid?

Without getting political, yes I do. Just like under Clinton's reign we introduced this notion of political correctnes run amuck, I think the world is now under this extreme notion of non-culpability; it is never YOUR fault....its always the guy in front of you. The old Soviet leaders used to do this all the time. I cannot remember the official name for it but each successive leader thew his predecessor under the bus and stood on top of HIS accomplishments to say, "look at me". Sad.

OK, parts of the Sechzig fan base aren't the most intelligent, but even they should be able to see that these bastards didn't have the courage to fire Kurz from the start, so they were waiting for one bad performance to do it.
Dude, the f#cker did it over the phone!!! OVER THE PHONE!!!! THAT, to me shows he is a slimy, back-stabbing c*ck-sucker who has ZERO morales and principles. He could not even look his ex-team mate in the eye and fire him. Hell, they don't even have the balls to call it "firing" (gekuendigt (http://dict.leo.org/ende?lp=ende&p=wlqAU.&search=k%FCndigen)), they call it "beurlaubt" or suspended (http://dict.leo.org/ende?lp=ende&lang=de&searchLoc=0&cmpType=relaxed&sectHdr=on&spellToler=on&chinese=both&pinyin=diacritic&search=beurlaubt&relink=on). GIVE ME A F#CKING BREAK HERR STEVIC!!!!! Have the balls to be a man, fire the guy in person and tell him the REAL reason he is being let go. THIS IS WHAT IS WRONG WITH THE WORLD NOW!!!! People have **********-footed around for nearly 20 years, worried about hurting people's feelings, giving trophies for mediocrity, allowing more average teams to play in what were top competitions, and hiring people who do not know shit about the work they are supposed to be doing.

Stevic may be the coach/"team chief" before all is said and done.

That, with little doubt, was the Back-Stabbing Bastard Stevic's mission all along. At first when they fired Reuter I thought he wanted both of HIS positions; having brought in "investors" and such. But after they hired that Herman Munster-Loooking Douchebag Stoffers, it is clear that he does not want Reuter's positions...at least not the EXACT two Reuters had. I think the f#cker wants sport director AND coach.

I would love to ask him, "Really? Who do you have who can do better with this patchwork team you have? Because Herm, if you're going to fire a coach, you'd better make damned sure the next guy is better........"
This screams to me: "We don't have a f#cking clue of where to go from here, but we didn't want Reuter's coach here any longer......"

They don't know what they are doing. Their actions are a window to their incompetence.

Will they get a 3rd BL license Garry? :(
I fear not. My chief concern is that these guys will be soooo budy playing football back office that they will not reduce their operating deficit, will continue to increase their debt (currently at 3m Euros), and their ability to get a pro license will come into question. I don't think it will happen until Feb 2010 in terms of being in peril of losing the license. But performance-wise, they do not get they are creating a poison atmosphere where young players will not want to be and older players will simply say "f#ck it, I retire".

Let me know what you think - I am worried that my excitement clouded my judgment, or maybe it was the yeast. :D

It was dark, but wasn't as robust as I would have liked.

I was not a fan of the In-Heat Wheat. Typical American bastardization of a Bavarian classic.

I cannot wait to get over there soon to consume the nectar fo the Gods.

Can I tell you how many "Lorant, bitte nicht" threads I have read in the German fora? Most fans don't want him, or any other 1860 retreads (Pacult, Bommer, etc.) either.

Oddly enough, Auge has been seen not so much as a "Bayern" product, but as a German product. Lodda is an outright sacrilege.

I actually believe Bommer wouldn't be a bad choice if they couldn't get Auge.

Do you think they are starting to realize that embracing the best man for the job might be more important than feeding petty hatred?

Lodda is an outright sacrilege.

That, I totally agree with.........

Man, I tell you, if you want to see the mettle of a person just look at the people they surround themselves with. Wolf, out of respect for Kurz will NOT wear the trainer's "TR" jacket this week, but rather his "CO" jacket for being co-trainer. THAT is the mark of a man. Below is a translation of Wolf's comments on 1860.de:
"Out of respect for Marco I will wear my jacket with CO on the breast pocket this week. I had dinner with Marco last night and we spoke for a long time about the upcoming games agains St. Pauli and his observations of the Pauli-FCK match. Marco did the best opposition analysis I have seen and had put together a training plan through Thursday for the team. I consider that above the 'call of duty' as he was no longer employed by the club."

Well, I guess Kurz is still actually "employed by the club", seeing that he was only put on "vacation." ;)

I think this is a true "up yours" to Stevic........

Watching the video of the training there are a few things to note:

They seem to be using Kurz's playbook for training.
Appears several "injured" players were back in practice ahead of schedule. Makes you wonder if Stoffers comments are forcing players to come back before their time.
Seems there has been pressure to bring on Emanuel Biancucchi, Lionel Messi's cousin, into the first team. Was seen wearing #10 at practice.
Krauss was seen in training for the first team. Is Tschauner coming under the microscope?
Looking at the division of scrimmage teams, looks like the starting line-up this week might be:

Tschauner
Rukavina, Beda, Thorandt, Johnson
L. Bender, Gulan, Roesler, Aigner
Schaeffler, Lauth

In short, WAY to many new faces in training for me to believe this is Wolf's idea. I would bet he is getting pressure to use guys like Gulan, Biancucchi and Krauss. Rukavina is a decent option given Schwarz being injured (though he was in training), but don't rate the guy above Johnson or Schwarz.

Should be an interesting game.

I take this as a rhetorical question as you and I both know these guys cannot find their ass with both hands, let alone know quality when they trip over it.

Holy $hit!!!!!!

Just listened to the whole interview Wolf (http://www.eyep.tv/beitrag/1-bundesliga/video/uwe-wolf-das-erste-interview-als-cheftrainer.html) gave today. Man-O-man did HE lay a few shots across the bow of Stevic and Stoffers!!!! Below are a few zingers from the Q&A session:

Q: How did the team take the news of the new trainer?
A: I think it is a difficult situation whenever a new trainer comes on board. Especially when you are following a coach like Marco Kurz. I hold him in high regard as a coach and as a person. We are all in the same boat and need to rely on one another to pull ourselves up. I think you saw this today in our two trainings sessions.

Q: Did you talk to Marco about the Pauli match?
A: Naturally, Marco is a good friend of mine. He was here yesterday and we discussed the Pauli perperations in detail.

Q: What will you change?
A: Hard work, strong discipline, that every player plays hard and knows that this is their job and that means they work.

Q: The next opponent is Pauli, what is your objective for the match?
A: To win. (:p)

Q: Is this a "knock out" game? Do you feel your position depends upon a good performance in this match?
A: You know well that it is important for a traininer to produce results. But its also important that a trainer has a united president behind him, a united sport director behind him. That we saw when Lorant was here what can happen when a united management is behind the trainer.

Q: You mentioned the things you would change, were you suggesting these things were not here previously?
A: Yes, they were certainly here before, only I want continue to strengthen it. The rules will continue to be there and enforced. For example, no player may go home until the full training session is over. The point is that the players will work at their profession like others do at their jobs, so that whent they go home they know what they have done each day.

Q: How would you describe yourself?
A: Dedicated and loyal. And when I work I give 1000%, and therefore I also wish to have the "air cover" (support) from the club management and sport diretor.

Q: How do you come to that response?
A: While I believe that respect and trust is mandatory regardless of whom you are dealing with.

CLEARLY Wolf does not give a $hit about Stevic/Stoffers and this job if they are going to monkey with him. He plans on doing things HIS way or they can kiss his ass goodbye too. ROFLMMFAO....I LOVE THIS!!!!! If they thought they got rid of Kurz they are mistaken. Seems the GOT Kurz with an attitdude!!!!! LOVE IT!!!!!

Who's to say where Sechzig will be in three years???

Do you really think LD will want to play in the Regionalliga Sud???

And I doubt this management has any intention of keeping Gregg around after this season.

Yeah, Berhalter could be a co-trainer in three years.

More likely in Cottbus than at Sechzig though.........

As far as the "D-word" goes, I think any "possibility" he'll be at Sechzig in three years is pure crack pipe fantasy.

I think it was diabolical of DF to even bring that f#ckin' name up here! LOL!! :p :D
