Tevez is a free agent this summer. However, it will cost about 32 million pounds ($46mil) in signing-on fee to sign him. Chelsea, Real Madrid, Manchester City are interested.

Would they pay $46 million to get Tevez?

No, he's not a free agent. He's still owned by MSI. The money will go to them.

Also, nobody should ever pay that sort of money for a player of Tevez's quality. $25 million (£15 million - £20 million) at most.

He's a free agent. He is out of a contract in July 2009. That's the definition of a free agent.

However, he signed an agreement with MSI in which they will get all/most of his signing-on fee.

Look at it this way, if Tevez's dad own his economic rights instead of Kia Joorabchian, Tevez and his dad could pocket the 32 mil pounds.

But he's not, so that's irrelevant. Tevez has signed a contract whereby his registration is owned by a company. The fact that it is an investment company rather than a football club is irrelevant. He is not a free agent.

I made the comparison, but said Tevez was much better. I was just saying they are similar.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/leagues/premierleague/manutd/5311421/Manchester-Uniteds-Carlos-Tevez-linked-with-AC-Milan-and-Liverpool-move.html

Tevez himself recently confessed that his time at United was coming to an end - prompting a number of Europe's best clubs to take note of his availability.

According to the Star, Italian giants Milan are prepared to spend £40 million on securing the Argentine's services, based on a £20m transfer fee and a £20m, four-year deal.

Who will be the next big name free agent after Tevez?

Imagine Kaka, CRonaldo or Messi playing out their contract and become free agents (they own their own registration when their contract expire). $60 million signing-on fee will be a bargain.

Easy answer to the question? No chance in hell.

And to add to the debate over Tevez vs Kuyt, I have to disagree with the person who thinks Tevez is nothing but Dirk Kuyt in disguise. (Or whatever it was claimed you believe.) Tevez is actually a rich mans over priced Dirk Kuyt.

Not a chance Tevez is worth the money. He has been one of my favorite players to watch at United over the past two seasons, but he has to go. Plain and simple, isn't good enough to be a starter at United. He is a rich man's John O' Shea and a poor man's Rooney. He can't lead at the front and Rooney is better as on out-and-out striker and better at playing in the hole than Carlos. His work rate can't be denied, but neither can Park's for that matter. I'll be the first to say that I would hate to see him play for any of United's big rivals, but he's not worth all of the trouble or the money.

Fergie claims Gill made a generous offer to Tevez. Kia claims no deal was offered.

It's clear that United has no desire to spend record money on Tevez, and they shouldn't, but Kia is holding out for the original deal money. He said United can sign Carlos any time they want, they just have to agree to the original deal, and since United is one of if not the biggest club on earth, they wouldn't be the kind of club to try to get out of a deal.

We paid 10 million for 2 seasons. The medals have flowed in, and will continue coming in. The thought of paying another 20-30 million and 100,000+ a week for someone who is a super sub is just insane.

We have finishers. We have players with the work rate. You are loved Carlos, but United will not be held up at gunpoint. Thank you for your time, good luck for any club you play for next season. (Unless it is City, Real, or Liverpool.)

Most likely he will got to Real Madrid. I would rather him stay in Man Utd but they won't pay that much for him and they want to give the chance to the young players. Another factor is that Man Utd wants to get Ribery to play along with ronaldo. Would not be surprised if Tevez lands with inter if they don't get aguero.

He has been so inconsistent for the team and the team does not need that.

So let's say we get rid of Tevez to bring Ribery in...who does Ribery replace on the current squad and is he worth the money Bayern Munich are asking?

Play along with Ronaldo at the wing position and bench Anderson.
