as I would with most lists created by the team's site. Expecially since if I remember, the Pope is supposed to be a huge Roma fan. Or at least that's what they were claiming when Roma won the league two years ago(?)

It's a brilliant coincidence that someone started this thread as I was looking for a place to tell this story and don't really hit the Liverpool boards for obvious reasons.
Last Saturday night (January 24), 9:30 Club in Washington, DC., about 6 songs into Starsailor's set, the lead singer goes, "Most of you will have no idea what I'm talking about, but this next song is dedicated to Bruno Cheyrou".
I was there with a bunch of friends I had watched the game with earlier -- both Newcastle and Liverpool supporters -- and made it apparent that, for better and worse, some people knew what he was talking about.

I think they probably changed it from "Poor Misguided Fool" to "Born Again" :)

You know, I'm not all that well-versed in Starsailor, so I'm wasn't really up on the song names as we were going through the show.

But was it in praise of him or did it curse him?

I think it was in praise.
