Update: Santa Cruz, whom Blackburn do not have to sell, has gotten interest from Manchester City, but a late development has Spurs swooping in late with an offer of £20 million for the striker according to The Mirror.
Analysis: Santa Cruz has been OK, but slagged off a little from last season. Is the missing ingredient David Bentley who is now at Spurs? The money is a lot, but, a striking tandem of Defoe and Santa Cruz, with Pavlyuchenko in the rotation as well? Scary stuff.
