There should be a resource for scarves. MLSgear obviously has the MLS clubs, while soccerscarf.com is a good alternative.

The usual places that have jerseys should have scarves as well--soccer.com, subsidesports.com, or soccerbox.com--they usually have them at reasonable prices, though the imports are somewhat higher.

www.metrostars.com has this year's scarf for only $12. The one with the new logo is $15.

Cheers!

Yeah, I can't find the CyberRays scarf. Must've been bad info. I do have both the Freedom and Breakers scarves.

Anybody have a comprehensive list of MLS Supporter Club scarves?

I have
1997 Screaming Eagles scarf
1998 BarnBurners - Fire Double Winners
2000 BarnBurners - Fire (blue scarf)
2000 BarnBurners - Fire (red/white scarf)
2001 Mystics - Wizards Double Winners

I know the Chicago Ultras have put out at least two scarves, as have the Chicago Arsonists. Are there any others? I'm definitely interested!

does anyone know of any ways to hang a scarf up but yet protect it at the same time? i'd like to hang up my Galaxy scarf on my wall in my bedroom, but i know that if i just attach push pins to wach side, dust will accumulate on it. do they make protective "sleeves" or anything for scarves, that allow you to keep them safe from dust but still display them? many thanks!

My scarves have been up for a couple of years, and there's no appreciable dust on them. Of course, there's no smoking in the house, and the cats have only been around for two months.

wow, those scarves look nice. forget wallpaper, decorate your walls with the scarves!

i dont know, i have a small bedroom and a cat [white hair so anything black becomes white], and dust seems to collect quickly. all my 10 MLS figures on my desk have dust on their bases...

I don't have that many scarves, just

Sigma Olomouc (the most important one)

FK Sarajevo

Canada vs Scotland Oct 2002 scarf (yes they made a scarf for a friendly match)

Hopefully my collection will grow over the next few years.

Supposedly soccerscarf.com was going to release scarves of all the WUSA teams... As of now only two teams released, and the Freedom might have been the one instead of the Rays...

Club Quake had been talking about making a scarf but the maker in England wanted a deposit. I'm hoping the group will go ahead and make a press run. Someone here should give a good rate.

It's a very impressive collection Andy you have there. Cheers!

There's five more pictures in that set. And then there are the ones I haven't hung up yet. It's up over 100.

The secret to hanging them en masse is to put two small binder clips over on one end. Run picture wire about an inch from the top of the wall from one side of the room to the other, then put the back tab of the clip over the wire. Overlap the scarves, and voila!

]Andy, did you screw the picture wire into crown molding?

No. Every other scarf or so I tack one of those cable staples over the wire. It is anchored into a stud at either end.

Nails. I tie a bowline knot in the picture wire, slip the nail through it, then hammer it into the stud.

It's just standard 100lb uncoated picture wire.

soccerscarf.com has finally released the CyberRays scarf. There were given as a gift to those who volunteered all 11 games and were on sale at their Fan Appreciation Party. I don't know when they will be on sale online.

I will infer that soccerscarf.com will release the 5 other teams eventually! Cheers!

I haven't really collected scarves, But as my wife and I start to talk about having kids more, I may have to switch from collecting Jerseys to scarves.

Every year I buy a new jersey (if they have one) for the U.S. team, Arsenal, DC United, Whoever Reyna plays for, plus 3-5 more I find on sale. That's an average of 8 a year, at 60 bucks or more, that is 480 a year.

Actually let me think about this again
USA 1950 70 bucks (replica jersey website)
Arsenal 1970 70 bucks (replica jersey website)
Crystal Palace "Berhalter" 65 bucks (cpfc.co.uk)
Brazil 1998 35 bucks (in Korea)
France 2002 Henry 20 bucks (in Korea)
Sweeden 2002 Ljunburg 20 bucks (in Korea)
USA 2002 White Reyna 40 bucks (ebay)
USA 2002 White Donovan 40 bucks (ebay)
USA 2002 Blue Reyna 80 bucks (soccerplus.net)

Estimate of 440 this year, and I probably forgot one or two.

Yep, I think I will switch to scarves.
