Update: Beattie scored a late goal, but it was not nearly enough, as Stoke fell to Spurs in North London on Tuesday night by a 3-1 count.
Analysis: Beattie, fresh over from Sheffield United, did not waste much time on his mission to re-claim his career in the Premiership. He certainly looked Premier League quality Tuesday night, and will be interesting to keep an eye on as Stoke battle to stay out of the bottom three.
