if the rumors weren't bad enough before the christmas holiday surely rafa decision not to even put robbie on the bench must have clubs and keane sniffing around.
considering our recent penchant for resigning players - would you take him back?

There are even quotes from Redknapp talking about Keane as a player he admires!
For all his hustle and bustle I'm not sure we need him now Defoe is back. I'm sure Defoe is watching and thinking, "For F's Sake!"

Buying Keane would be laughable. Surely the defensive side of things need sorting out.

It would be completely mental, but also funny just to see Defoe's face if Keane did come back.

The only reason we should buy Keane is if we sell/swap/burn down for insurance purposes Darren Bent.

No. He is not the type of striker we are looking at right now. If we sign Keane again, where can we fit him in?

Well initially my reaction a couple months back was 'only if the price is right' because we got good money for him. I still think that is the prudent course of action. But, now seeing how Redknapp is throwing bazillions of pounds at horribly mediocre players like Bellamy, Hunt, etc., and overpaying for decent talent like Palacios and Defoe, I've changed my stance. What the hell, if we're going to overpay anyway, let's bring Keano back! :D

He'd fit right in Defoe's ass. Again.

hell no! i don't want him. defoe has been consistent for this whole season. robbie hasn't. one could safely assume that his confidence is a bit shattered. we need players that are on the top of their game, mentally and physically.
if we have defoe, we can't have keane. if keane did come back.. i doubt there would be a way for harry to keep them both happy.
the only way i would take robbie back right now is if we did a swap for him and bent.

Nay, nay and thrice nay. We got our Jermaine back. And why would he want to leave? As a boy he dreamed of being behind N'gog in the subs.

Feck him. He didn't hesitate to leave us in the lurch, why should we take him back when things are not working out?
Plus, we don't need Robbie Keane anymore -- we need the player he was 5 years ago.

It would be so cruel for us to poach him from his beloved boyhood club...he can stay there and rot at the reserves...

nobody played harder, and nobody gave more effort than RK in every single match...
I'd take him back in an effing minute.

depends on how hot she was...and anyway, I don't see it as cheating on me.
a better analogy would be that he was an excellent employee who saw an opportunity at a bigger firm - not the hated rival firm across town, but a firm in another city that could offer him a better client base than i ever could. Things did not work out for him - the economy sucks right now you know, and I have a chance to get a very hard-working employee back. It would be foolish of me not to at least consider it.

He was a good player but Berbatov made him look better than he is. Never in a million years is he worth more than 10 million now, especially considering his age.
Let him stay and rot at Liverpool and seems that is what will happen.

Completely agree! We Tottenham fans can be very shortsighted. He was an excellent player and leader for our club and gave his all in every match. I would welcome him back with open arms.

Defoe > Keane...
Defoe is doing really well after he came back, so there is no point in letting that failure Keane back to disrupt his rhythm. I don't care if he works hard, play hard. It's a fact that he left us(by forcing our hand in handling a transfer request), we have move on since then. So he can stay at his 'boyhood' club...unless he decide to tell us that Spurs is his new 'boyhood' club. :p
