It's official (http://www.chelseafc.com/page/LatestNews/0,,10268%7E1533052,00.html)...:p

Not only that, he was soon talked about as the pick of all the Premiership's stoppers thanks to super-sharp reflexes, speed off his line, ability with his feet and penalty-saving excellence that averaged an incredible 50 per cent success rate.

50% ?! How many shots has he faced, two?

Nice move.

He was Chelsea's starter for a few years around 2000 and 2001. I'll take those things all day if he really did come over on a free transfer.

Excellent move... 35 is not too old for a keeper and the experience he brings is invaluable. I expect him to keep Gomes on his toes although the Braziilan will be first choice still. Now can he play vs. Stoke?

Between 2000 and 2004, acksherly, until Petr Cech arrived.

Seems a good signing...and free as well :)

I guess he's (and possibly his kids) settled in London.

Excellent signing. He was on the bench for Chelsea a week or so ago, so he must be fit. Certainly an able replacement for Gomez, who seems to have been carrying multiple injuries ever since he's arrived.

excellent pickup for nothing. Top notch keeper and this will hopefully help Gomes get healthy.
