West Ham United and Sunderland have been forced to withdraw a selection of their on-line services due to restrictions imposed by the Football League.

Following 11th-hour negotiations with the Football League in a bid to continue the service, both clubs have been told that they are no longer permitted to broadcast live match commentary and show visual highlights of League games for the rest of the season.

What a *#*#*#*#ing joke, maybe if the football leagues would spend as much time trying to regulate teams' spending so that there aren't as many teams on the brink of administration/already in it as they do on robbing fans of radio coverage to their teams they would have something. I remember the golden days, just a year ago you could get almost any team (Chelsea, Man Utd, Arsenal on Capital Gold) and now its basically Fulham and Charleton standing alone. *#*#*#*# you English football you greedy bastards. I hope the extra 1,000 pounds or whatever they make on this is worth the loss of fans who buy merchandise and PPV events like me. This was the straw that broke the camel's back. Hell, they even blocked out the Carling Cup on BBC earlier today, going back on a prior agreement. THE CARLING CUP for God's sake. Greedy bastards......

I shelled out the cash for the World Package back in September, figured this was going to happen eventually. It is still a major pisser though.

Feel sorry for you ex-pats who have had your only link to matchday commentary taken away from you.

For once this isnt the clubs fault, but the greed from their Football League and their media partner.

I do go to all home games and some aways (although the aways are getting less frequent in my attempt to save for Portugal 04)

So, when i get chance I will write a full report on my views of hte matches i attend.

Typically they will be concise and to the point, like:

'We were shite'

'Decent game, played well but still threw the lead away'

'**** me, we actually won'

'Would have been OK if Defoe hadnt have got his 4th Red of the season'

etc etc....

:o)

(anyway, think yourselves lucky, Ive paid good money to watch that shower of shite and have to go week in week out while you lot are sunning in in luxuorious locations across the world!!!)

Can't wait to read those match reports.

I could never listen to the games anyway, but damn the money grabbing never ends.

By the way, nice marshmellow piece in Hammers news this month on Brown.
